Now i want to see some answers that make sense, no talk of a flood because dinosaurs lived over millions of years, they did not all disappear at once. Also if anyone mentions the behemoth or leviathan, these are invalid. The behemoth is mentioned for sure, but this does not prove existence of dinosaur in the bible as it is only one reference to one creature, surly the hundreds of species of large dinosaurs would have played a bigger part in bible history. And the leviathan lived in water; no dinosaurs live in water so leave that one out too. I'm talking real dinosaurs not plesiosaurs or ichthyosaurs.
Cheers.

Welcome to , the web site of the Creation Evidence Museum in Glen Rose, Texas.

As you browse our pages you will receive educational information presenting scientific evidence for creation and design by a personal Creator. This scientifically chartered museum was established in July of 1984 for the purpose of research, excavation, and display of scientific evidence for creation. The Museum's team, led by its Founder and Director, Carl Baugh, Ph.D., has excavated eleven dinosaurs (Acrocanthosaurus, Stegosaurus, Allosaurus, etc.), 475 dinosaur tracks, 86 human footprints, 7 cat prints, and other fossil remains - all in Cretaceous limestone. Excavations were professionally documented along the Paluxy River and various other international locations.

Among museums this entity makes a unique contribution, demonstrating that man and dinosaur lived contemporaneously.Q: Are dinosaurs found in the Bible?

A: Yes

For a biblical study on dinosaurs in the Old Testament, I would definitely recommend using the Authorized Version (AV)/King James Version (KJV) of the Scriptures which were translated into English from the Masoretic text in 1611 [230 years before the word "dinosaur" was available!]. Using a Strong's Concordance, you will find the Hebrew word "tannin" is used 25 times, and is translated as 'dragon(s),''serpent(s),' 'monster(s)' [and, in the more modern versions, improperly as 'jackal(s)']. The key to remember is to look for Hebrew Lexicon #8577.

CREATION WEEK (~4000 B.C.)

DAY 5--[Gen.1:20-21]--Creation of marine monsters (Hebrew "tannin," includes large marine 'mammals' and 'reptiles') and winged/flying creatures (Hebrew "o(w)ph," includes all feathered and non-feathered flyers--even pterosaurs, the flying reptiles!)

DAY 6--[Gen.1:24-25]--Making of dinosaurs and other land creatures, divided among the cattle (Hebrew "behemah," includes all quadrupedal, hoofed/blunt-toed ungulates), beasts of the earth (bipedal/quadrupedal, talon-toed), and creeping things (quadrupedal/multi-legged ground crawlers).

FLOOD YEAR (~2350 B.C.)

[Gen.6:17,19-20; 7:14-15; 9:17,19]--Juvenile representatives of every terrestrial, air-breathing kind (not species), including dinosaurs and pterosaurs, were directed by God to the Ark.

Those outside the Ark would be left to be scavenged by marine predators or be buried and fossilized quickly.

POST-FLOOD PERIOD

MARINE MONSTERS--[Leviathan (Job 3:8-'mourning'; 41:1-34/Ps.74:14;104:26/ Isa.27:1); see also Lam.4:3 & Amos 9:3].

PTEROSAURS--[esp. the bioluminescent flying reptiles (Isa.14:29 & 30:6)].

DINOSAURS--[see Strong's Concordance(KJV) under "dragon(s);" also Exod. 7:9-10 (#8577, not #5175)].

The best dinosaur passage in the Bible is Job 40:15-24 where God speaks to Job concerning BEHEMOTH ["most excellent beasts"--intensive plural of

Day 6 'cattle' ("behemah")], a huge sauropod dinosaur (especially notice verses 17 &19 !!!). Don't forget to ckeck our website for dinosaur publications under "Resources" and...happy dinosaur hunting!

Wow, I feel really sorry for you if these are the best answers you get. First, to clarify, Behemoth and Leviathan are not dinosaurs, they are the hippopotomous (sp?) and crocodile, respectively. These are in the book of Job, which was penned long after dinosaurs had left the world. I, a religious "zealot" and Christian, do believe that dinosaurs existed. I mean, it's hard not to when their very skeletons are staring you in the face in all sorts of museums. So, I don't think the bones were planted or anything. That's ridiculous. My husband and I were actually talking about what was the purpose of the dinosaurs (I brought them up because I was obsessed with them when I was younger.) We reasoned that it couldn't have been just for the sake of shaping the earth, as some people think. Rivers and wind and glaciers do that pretty well. But then, we got to thinking, if God is the Master Gardener, and presumably humans learned to farm and cultivate land from Him, wouldn't He have used them as some sort of way to prepare the Earth for humans? One reason may have been to provide fertilizer for the grasses and other plants to be already thriving so a human population wouldn't have to struggle so much to stay alive (in a perfect world). Another was that these dinosaurs ate not only each other, but also the very plants that grew out of the soil they fertilized. So they kept things pretty trim. An unattended piece of land quickly goes to pot, and anyone who says that God could have tended it Himself...well, yes, but He prefers to use more natural methods (something that would go hand in hand with earthly life from a human's perspective, in that humans are in charge of taking care of the earth, not like God is the parent who always cleans your room for you) to get things done. Finally, and least of all, the dinosaurs boosted the amounts of fossil fuels we had to start with in the ground, eventually making them available for energy use today. I know we're not using them properly, but that's our problem, not God's. So, yes, I think dinosaurs exist. No, I do not feel any Christian has any right not to believe in dinosaurs (they were also related to as the creatures of the watery deep and sea monsters). (Gen 1:21)

the word "dinosour" was not even invented. But there're "mammoth", "bahemoth", "Ibex", and "leviathan" in the bible. PLus "giants".

Job 40:15
15 "Look at the behemoth, [a]
which I made along with you
and which feeds on grass like an ox.

Job 41
1 "Can you pull in the leviathan [a] with a fishhook
or tie down his tongue with a rope?

Isaiah 27
1 In that day,
the LORD will punish with his sword,
his fierce, great and powerful sword,
Leviathan the gliding serpent,
Leviathan the coiling serpent;
he will slay the monster of the sea.

Psalm 74:14
14 It was you who crushed the heads of Leviathan
and gave him as food to the creatures of the desert.

Deuteronomy 14:5
5 the deer, the gazelle, the roe deer, the wild goat, the ibex, the antelope and the mountain sheep. [a]

All of the Creationist and Evangelists do not have a clear explanation for dinosoars except for that scients are wrong about the time line and say that humans and dinosoars lived together. It does mention in some versions of the bible that within the 7 days of creation god created all of the beasts that roamed the world. This is vague but people say that it means dinosoars as well as everything else. These people have even fabrocated evidence to support their claims. They are wrong and nieve but I think some people would be supprised by their amazing capacity for self deception.

Not all religious people discount dinosaurs, evolution, the big bang.

I for one have a strong faith in God and view the bible and the story of the creation as how God explained the creation of the universe to his children. Even now as we begin to unlock some of the secrets of the universe, do you honestly think our brightest minds could comprehend the creation as it really occured on a physical level? Read Genesis and the order of which the creation was carried out. Compare it with the Big Bang, evolution and you will begin to see what I mean. God was explaining a vastly complicated event in terms and timeframes understood by our ancestors but in a way that holds true today.

Get rid of some of that hatred you have in your heart and start excepting the fact that "religous people" aren't as *** backwards as you might think. This isn't a strugle to one up each other but a search for the truth. You are as guilty of ignoring the facts on the other side as the "religious people" you have worked up in your mind.

As a religious person, here's how I logically account for dinosaurs:

The Bible is a religious work, and taking it literally is so wrong.

There is NO SCIENTIFIC WAY to reconcile the two.

Infallible works have no place in modern scientific study. You may as well reference the Kama Sutra, the Koran, or The Annalects of Confucius for How We Began, and none of them have any validity.

Following along with Zenrin 7's eloquent reply (sic), I humbly offer the following perspective from God's Word, the Holy Bible:

"But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day." 2 Peter 3:8

Please consider this word-of-wisdom: "Talk no more so very proudly; Let no arrogance come from your mouth, For the Lord is the God of knowledge; And by Him actions are weighed." 1 Samuel 2:3

"Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever." 1 Timothy 1:17

As a Muslim, I'll answer from my religion's viewpoint.

Dinosaur, one of a group of extinct reptiles that lived from about 230 million to about 65 million years ago. God created them & sent them on earth long before He sent humans. They died out by will of God, and their huge dead bodies played a vital role in creating natural resourecs underneath the ground. Islam doesn't have any conflict against the theory of Dinosaurs, it is highly possible that they existed and eventually became extinct.
