If you want more muscle tone you have to do specific exercises for it. If you are overweight, that is a different matter. Lose any excess weight, then do pilates, or some type of workout that is both aerobic and anaerobic. Cycling just burns calories, it may tighten your muscles in your legs, but you would have to do it a lot, like 10 miles or more per day.

There's always times for squats...whenever you get a moment --- do squats...no weights, just you using your own body to move from a standing position to a squatting position...it toned my thighs and calf's nicely.

For a good Diet, get rid of red meats, junk food sweets, etc and eat healthy white meats like tuna, chicken (remove the fatty skin), and turkey.

Drink plenty of water/fruit juices and eat fresh salads, fruits and nuts (almonds are really good).

Take a good vitamin/mineral supplement.

Best Wishes

i bulked up my calves unknowlingly by walking a 1500 piece paper route once a week.carrying 2 bags..one on each hip. it was all muscle and its taken 6 yrs to get rid of the muscle mass.and im a girl..but try walking to school twice a week ..riding or walking with bulky bags is hard on the back . try carying the bag on one side the the other and strap your bag to your bike ,,try calf weights too and set your gears to a tighter setting...,good luck

Treatment for Excessive Fat and Weight :-
PHYTOLACCA BERRY's Mother Tincture is perhaps the safest and sure fire way of loosing excessive fat around abdomen. With Phytolacca Berry once you loose the excessive fat and weight you don't get it back because you body takes care of itself after that and keeps you from gathering up excessive fat. It is prescribed after having a baby too, to get the tummy to loose its flab and to make it flatter and tighter. And after loosing weight with this you don't get flabby it tightens up the flab and skin along with helping your body to shed the excessive accumulation of fat around the girth
The dosage is 15 to 20 drops of the tincture in half a cup of hot water thrice a day half hour before or after meals.
Avoid Chocolates, Coffee, Mints, Red Meat and Carbonated and Alcoholic drinks while taking Homeopathic Medicines. You have to take it for at least 30 to 45 days after that you start to feel the results.
To the best of my knowledge its the safest and the most sure fire way of loosing fat and weight and keeping it of for keeps. Excellent remedy for Obese people who cant seem to shed weight despite trying.
Homeopathic Remedies can be found at all Major Herbal Stores or could be bought on line, In most of the world Homeopathic remedies are quite cheap and easy to find and they do not need a prescription.
Take care and God Bless !

i suggest u walk to school instead of ride your bike..u will burn more fat that way...if u go to a gym u can do seated calf presses...and standing calf presses...and squats..if u don't go to a gym buy yourself some dumbells...what ever weight u can handle..hold one in each hand and raise up on your toes..thats a standing calf press.......do high reps to tone your calfs...another excersice with dumbells is hold them both by your shoulders close to your neck and squat down...don't go past parrallel then stand back up...your thighs should be at a 90 degree angle at the bottom...again go for high reps...also try differant squat varitations...and deadlifts...again u can use dumbells for a deadlift or barbells...if u have neither do them weightless with lots of reps...if u have a barbell or dumbells...start with your feet shoulder width apart...squat down behind where u set your weights...if it's a barbelll...grip firmly shoulder width..then stand...making sure u keep the bar close to your body at all times...keep your back straight and look forward....after u stand slowly go back down..thats one deadlift...try not to count how many u do but do as many as u can....alternate leg days..so u don't get burned out...and make sure to alot of walking or running...3k on a bicycle is not far enough..either walk that far or ride your bike alot farther for cardio...eat lots of vegtables...fruits....etc...take in lots of fiber...oatmeal...etc....and u need lots of protien...1gram per pound of bodyweight if u are gonna seriously work out hard...it sounds like alot but your body needs it to stay anabolic and build the muscle u need..once u have higher muscle than fat your body will turn more for fat for fuel as long as u keep your protien levels up...have fun reading all that ....
