You won't really know till you ask, but if you really have the hots for her, the risk will be worth it. No guts, no glory! Be careful how you put it to her. Try to make sure the mood is right first. You can never predict human behavior. It's like trying to predict the weather. She becomes your girlfriend when you have been dating each other exclusively for a month or so. Asking her doesn't do it.
