I am in Los Angeles county. Some guy attacked my girl friend so I put my self in between him & my girl friend. He grabed me & started to hit me I punched him in the nose. Then the fight was over. He went to the hospital for a broken nose & I got my probation violated. The judge did not even give me a chance to tell her my case. She gave me a year in jail. But she did say that I would probebly only a couple of months due to the Los Angeles county jail overcrowding problen. I was wondering if there was any truth to this?
And Please if your are going to be a jerk dont respond. I got enough problems
I am not a violent person I just know how to defend myself. I own a business I dont drink or do drugs. I am going to loose every thing because of this. If I will only do a couple of weeks I would be ok with this. But any longer it's just not fair. Where is the justice???
The jails here are very over crowded & my lawyer said I probebly wont do that much time. But I am just real

you have 2 BIG problems.
1. You said: the Judge would not let you tell your side of the story.
2. You said: Your Lawyer told you ..blah..blahh....
Are you telling me, the Judge would not listen to your lawyer, and let him speak?
Why have you got a Lawyer now, and didn't have, when you went to court?
Sorry. Your story doesn't add up.

Get ready to serve your 12 months. You may get out early or get time served. But the fact that you violated your probation means that you were given a chance once, and you threw that away by committing simple battery. Suck it up and be glad you did not get Aggravated Assault.
