scanner software, to crop and adjust multiple images at once?

Hi,
i have lots LOTS of photos to scan and digitize, for backup. No I dont want to pay a service for this, i want to scan them, but it would help if i could fit a couple in at once. Is there software which can detect all the photos I scan, crop and rotate them automatically and save them as jpegs?

I don't know about all the stuff you want to do, but CompuPic by Photodex is fantastic.
