Cruise has made the news everyday. He is not yesterday's news although he should be but people will not let him go! Eating the placenta sounds awful to me and is not something we do in the US. I do not believe he planned to do so. If he had, it would have been done long ago and in the delivery room, otherwise, how would he get it out the hospital. And yes, he would just be eating waste. There's a thought.
The belief involves silence around the baby so it enters the world as peacefully as possible considering the shock it goes through to get here. Too much time is spent creating rumors and nasty thoughts.
I agree, pray that he will become saved and that would be a great thing to send around. Judgment is not ours to work with. I do not think any of us would appreciate being examined and put down the way he has been. He is just another person and I do not need to keep up with ANYTHING he is doing. Maybe more people could take that stance.

If I knew how to type something that sounded like puking, that's what I would have typed.
Giving birth in silence is impossible unless the woman is knocked out, which is a VERY bad idea. Eating a placenta is just fricken nauseating. I don't think it's technically cannabalism, since no-one died in the process, just like eating a hangnail isn't cannabalism.

Let him eat what he wants if he can stomach it, it's the afterbirth that is discarded. Some cultures do it. It's also put in many cosmetics. As for silent birth let him have a baby and discover what it feels like and then say that. For more info on the placenta see...

all we can do is pray for him. we can't really knock the different religions in this world.
some are more awkward then others right?
just the thought of tom cruise eating that, turns my tummy & really disgusts me.....
