An aquintance never returned my speakers and amp. What can I do?

Has had for several years. 2 - 10" subs, amp and box. Won't return my calls. Can I take legal action? How else can I get them back. Estimated value - $350

1. You need proof of ownership. Store receipt is best.
2. Make sure of where your aquintance lives and that he is there.
3. Call the police and have them meet you there.
4. Explain to the police what the problem is and as for their assistance to retreve you property. If they can not assist in this matter.
5. Go to small claims court and file there for money damages.
6 Collect if you can.
7 Get the court to issue a contempt of court order and have the person arrested on that
8. Hopfully you will get your stuff or money

Best thing to do is walk away however. The above is a lot of time and you cannot charge for time etc.

Walk away and forget it. Same thing happened to me but it was over a grand that I lost. Walking away was the best solution.

Statute of limitation is not so simple as time... there are a lot of "ifs and or buts in the process" ... however, it is a bit late in the day to make a complaint...have they done something recently to remind you of their bad behaviors???

Let it go...life is too short for recriminations at this point... Karma will get them and in the mean time, you can get on with your life.

Small claims court. Or, you can report them as stolen. But, that's kind of crappy, as your the sharp tool who lent them out in the first place. Why don't you just go over there and get them?

if it's been several years, it may be past the statute of limitations. check your local small claims court.
