There is really no hard and fast rules for determining how many cigarettes it takes for a person to get throat cancer. Each persons body is different and may react differently to cigarettes. Some people get it a few months after they start smoking while others may not get it even after a lifetime of smoking. Others still may get it from other sources like second hand smoke or chemicals. The fact is almost anyone can get throat cancer and its not just from cigarettes though it is a contributing factor in most cases.

Cigarettes are foul smelling and annoying. Not only can they cause the smoker to get lung cancer but others around them can get sick from second-hand smoke. In addition to that, cigarettes cost money that can be used on more constructive things. I will be happy when NO SMOKING becomes the law of this land for all the athsmatic people forced to endure second hand smoke and people who have the knowledge of the dangers of smoking, but choose to ignore them to keep up such an addiction instead of finding a better way to deal with nervous tension. One cigarette is too many for fresh breath. Lung cancer can come from 6 or more cartons- that's just a guess- depending on the poison content of the tobacco brand used, depth of inhalation, frequency of exposure and general physiological make-up of the smoker.

Smoking it self does not cause cancer, for eg. smoking use a water pipe you do not see cancer, it is the tar and other toxic chemicals that lead into cancer- cancer is sick relationship the body enter into with viruses in acid condition- therefore it impossibe to tell for everyone is differant-to yourself a favor don't smoke- if do look into a water pipe.

no definitive answer. lung cancer is more common. In both cases a hereditary predisposition to cancer exists, because other people are not affected by the same stimulus to cancer.
