I have made many folders and put pictures in all of them and now I want to rearrange some of them differently but can't seem to take the pictures out of the folder I created? I want to ultimatley put all my pictures from different folders into my pictures and start fresh with the sorting. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just open the folder, highlight the pictures you want to move or copy, right-click on them, then just drag them over to another folder (of your choice) while holding down the right mouse button. When you release the right mouse button, you will get a small menu, from which you choose "move here" or "copy here". That's all there is to it.

i'd open up a folder in your my pictures directory where some of your photos are stored.

then i'd open up my pictures again so you have a new window. you will still see the directory listed. go back to the first window where your photos are, click in the window somewhere. Hit Ctrl + A to select all photos. hit ctrl + C to "copy" the photos. Click in the second window which should be my pictures. click on a blank spot in the window then type cntrl + v to paste your photos. if all moves over ok, delete the folder you just had open from my pictures.

keep doing that for each folder you have in my pictures.

good luck.

I think I would create a new folder where I wanted to move everything and then I would open Windows Explorer and just drag everything to the new folder.

1) right click on picture and click on "send to" and put them all in my documents or wherever you choose. then go back and delete or "cut" the other pictures to get rid of them.
2) Make the new folder you want to make, then click on start, all programs, accessories, windows explorer. you can open your old picture folders and drag and drop each picture into your new folder on the left.

you would accept ideas even as reinstalling XP and a minimum of between the options is non-unfavorable. utilising this function received't delete your records. Your put in classes will likely no longer proceed to be put in in spite of the indisputable fact that, so will pick to be reinstalled. after all i'd propose backing up your significant records before you attempt any re-set up. You can simply "drag and drop" them.
