Push ups. I have been taking Krav Maga lessons for three years, taught by a 6th degree TKD black belt who bench presses 300 pounds regularly. Whenever this instructor is asked this quesion, the answer is always "push-ups. There's nothing better for putting real power into all your punches."

Don't punch with weights - you can really hurt your joints that way. I use 12 ounce boxing gloves when I spar and in ten minutes they feel like they weigh 20 pounds.

Well, push up alone will not add much power in your punches. Do,weight training especially chest, shoulder and triceps. These are the major pushing muscles.

Yuo will definitely add the power to your punch.

Do push ups with your hands close together. Also do them on your knuckles
