If you get pregnant while you are in the national guard, then you have the right to serve your contract unless there is a family problem which makes it unable to complete. Second, you receive 6 weeks of leave after the baby is born to return to your guard unit, unless other medical problems arise. Plus, after your 32ND week you can't not drill. That time does not include the 6 weeks after, either. Being married and pregnant does not give you a reason not to full fill your contract.

Depending on your job and its requirements in the military and your commanders requirements will determine if you go back to the Guard or not. You will receive maternity leave, but The rest you will have to get the other information from your Commanding officer of your unit (or First Sergeant). Congratulations (If you are pregnant) and Good Luck!

They do not make you go back, they simply require you to have childcare set up in case you get deployed or injured. Once your in the military you are bound by contract. The only thing that will get you kicked out is becoming an administrative burden (bad continuous conduct), abusing drugs or alcohol, being a homosexual or murder.

Why the heck are people making rude assumptions. I don't see no where in her question where she asks can she get out of the service. I mean if you have no knowledge of the question, you shouldn't have answered it. This comes to show you how many ignorant people in the world can't comprehend what they read. Sorry I am not pregnant nor in the service but I just wanted to defend your question.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean. Are you trying to get out of the guard, or God forbid thinking of getting pregnant to shirk your duty? Anyway, the answer is no. You get maternity leave, and you get to wear those funny looking maternity uniforms until then.
