A yeast infection will often cause itching and usually a type of discharge. The discharge usually has an odor to it, and is a thick milky/brownish color.

If you're NOT sure it's a yeast infection, go to a doctor and have a PAP smear. If you're sexually active, it could be early signs of an STD such as Chlamydia.

first off, if you think you have one, go to the doctor, that way they can tell you what to look for and what it will feel like, (which you will already know by this point if it turns out you have one) for future occurrences.

symptoms of a yeast infection:
feels like: intense itching, burning sensation, localized in your vagina and vulva
looks like: clumpy nasty white stuff, can range from thick and not clumpy to faintly yellow to thin and clear
smells like: bread or beer
