thats probably because your mind was on something else and didnt bother to remember where you put your stuff. while on important events you remember since you concentrated somwhat on it. as for myself im always looking for my glasses XD. my advice to you is to place the thing in the same spot all the time or make sure that the thing is very noticeable. example put a pair of black glasses on a white surface.

sounds like building routines and habits might help. ex: EVERY time you walk in the door, automatically put your keys (phone, whatever) in a specific place before you do anything else. do this a few times and it becomes second nature. i have a small basket on my counter that i throw everything in right when i come in. if you are the type that seems scattered/cluttered, it would also maybe help to organize your home and downsize to the bare necessities so you are not overwhelmed by all the stuff around you. just sharing what's helped me. good luck!

there's always ginko biloba...which I've never actually tried myself.

some of us have better memories than others...I have heard it recommended that there are certain mental 'exercises' one can do to help improve memory and recall. Look it up on the net and see if you can find some advise on that. The only other suggestion I have is to create an organizational system that works for you - and keeps the important stuff where you can find it quickly.

Well first of all make a spot to put the stuff like key rack to put your keys or put all your stuff in a little tray on the dresser and always remember to put it there before you go to bed or put your keys and wallet in the tray after you get done running to the store that way you'll always remember to look in that tray on your dresser or kitchen table, counter whereever you decide to put it thats what i do with my wallet, car keys, watch and cellphone when im not powering it up.

I bet in your house your parents were always asking if you have.seen the good scissors?

Find a place to keep these items, when you use them, return them to the same place. When you need them the next time guess where they will be. Something I have been trying to teach my 27 year old daughter for years. A place for everything and everything in its place.

Pick a place to keep each thing and then be sure to put it back in this place. If you put things in the same place each time and NEVER put it anyplace else, you don't have to remember where you put something. All you have to do is go the place you keep it,
and there it is!

I had the same problem and this solved it for me!

There are a lot of health products for memory like ginko.
I myself feel the B Vitamins are good for that. If you drink a lot of alcohol this could hamper your memory.
