COMMUNICATION, TALK TALK AND MORE TALK. a healthy sex life, is only an added bonus

Been married almost 25 years. Understand that it will never go smoothly. This person you married will not always agree with you. Will tick you off. May probably move in a different direction. Never wash a dish. Fart so bad it will drive you out of the room. Vote for the wrong guy. Wear a stained shirt to an important family gathering. Hog the sheets.

YET, at the end of the day , knows you better than you know yourself. Is your best friend. Been there through the roughest times, and made you laugh so hard , you pee'd your pants!

There is no such thing as a happy marriage. What it is a commitment to stick with someone through thick and thin.

Honestly, abandon the Western notion that two people should become one; it is important for each person to maintain enough space that they maintain the qualities that were deemed so desirable in the first place.

Of course you will grow together over time, however, a little bit of distance and mystery can do wonders for maintaining the passion. Ensure that you both are able to continue doing the things that you love to do. Kahlil Gibrahn's "The Prophet" deals with this issue very eloquently; check it out and good luck!

- Communication is a first
- A good sex life ( try for 3 times a week)
- Separated at times, (as in during work) try not to be always together, keep that for the weekends
- Have one night for each other and the other for friends (weekends)
- Don't question each other about cheating matters, trust each other.
- If you cheat, do it outside of your country, once, and do not tell your spouse!

That's all I can think of right now, hope it helps!

ok here's what I've been learning for my own....and i still need to learn alot more..
- Keep on communicating...even when your p@#ssed off
-keep your sex life interesting, don't be afraid to try new things and pay close attention to what your partner responds to
help out with the chores...in this day and age it takes 2 incomes(in most households) so leaving one person with most of the housework and cooking is a recipe for disaster
-go out for a guys night...golfing ect... and let her go for girls night...it does'nt matter what you do seperately just make it safe and relaxing
- go out on a date night at least once every 2 weeks no later...if you have kids this is a must!!
-massages are so important...intimacy is not just sex it is touch as well...
-compliment each other...make each other feel special from time to time.....

-get silly together...not everything has to be so damn seriuos...

ok I hope that is a little insight...i'm still learning but these are things that we try to implament into our lives...and remember when things get rough take time to sit with yourself because the most important thing is self care with out that you'd have nothing to give someone else..

my guess is always honesty and trust cause if you don't have those two things your relationship is going to be over before you know it and always have a positive way of communication open without it your marriage is pretty much over

Serve each other with love, respect each other, express your love physically (hugs, kisses, sex), do things together, like going on trips, etc. and help each other in every way you can.
