It's generally a good idea to check someone's background before deciding how much importance to put on their words. Checking their other questions & answers can give you a better "feel" for the person than a single answer will show.
For example, it may let you know whether they're normally sharp & argumentative, or if they're just being ***** at you. It can let you know if they always say the same things and are just parroting some dogma they've learned, or if their reply to you was truly unique. And sometimes, if their other posts seem insightful and clever, but the one to you was rude, it can make you re-think your reaction--if you respect their other comments, then maybe you're taking this one too personally.
However, "despising" them seems a bit strong, like you're putting an emotional connection into their comments that they probably didn't intend. Ignoring someone who's vicious is the proper reaction; don't waste your energy hating them.

Some questions and some answers provoke an angry response in me. I'm not always perfectly polite. I stand my all my questions and answers as part of who and what I am.
Nothing I have written has been for the sole purpose of offending anybody else, however I have, on rare occasion, intended to respond to an offensive question or answer with a harsh tone.
If you expect humans to be anything other than human you will eternally be in a state of disappointment, hun. Just overlook the most offensive "characters," and enjoy your life. They don't matter.

I don't think so.
Just remember that the typed words may not carry the intended connotation that you miss with a real conversation.
I would just ignore any rude comments - but only focus on advice that is positive for your situations. It seems as if there are many flippant answers (and questions). You just have to wade through them to find those that truly want to help you.

That is what is called Detective work. This is an open site. You can do this to judge various thing's about a person. We are suppose to figure out thing's, then make up our own mind's (Judge) about those thing's. See, we can Judge, anything we want to, just have you own Duck's in a Row when you start throwing the ROCK's. Or they might pick'm up and throw them back. Hope this helps.

Well, when a person is always rude, then it's a simple matter of just ignoring that person. But for becoming more human than divine... sorry, but we are human... your response is human. In order to become more "divine" in the sense you are saying, you would have to leave everything human behind... that includes your flesh....

very wise, however most people are to concerned with how things make them feel and not about others. They are probably destroying themselves. The common belief is that divinity is given after life, not learned or taken. So go ahead and be dispised. It's ok.

For you to ask this question answers it, in the swirling mist of anger, your humility and integrity have won out. Ignoring those who carelessly and are rudely objecting, means the gates will be opened without them, yet the God(dess) remains open to all.

You're shallow.
Why despise someone for their words, when they're exactly that.
Words.
Remember the chuldren's nursery rhyme?
Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words can never hurt me.
It's somebody's opinion. Just because it doesn't match with yours doesn't make theirs wrong, and yours right.

If you despise them, you will be lowering your self to their levels. You must let all hateful comments be like water off a ducks back. Remember, if someone threw a ball of poop your way, if you chose to catch it, it would be YOUR fault, not theirs.
