it puts strain on your heart and respiratory systems for one. All that added weight causes your heart to have to pump that much harder to move blood through your body. Plus there's always a higher risk of many conditions, including cancer.

The fat around your stomach is what is really unhealthy it is full of toxins. Not only that usually being overweight goes hand in hand with heart disease diebetes and high blood pressure.

well it depends... my mom is overweight but she's very healthy (the doctors say) because she eats good food. she may just have a internal problem [deeper than a slow metabolism though]
