Its a combination of the thrill of the challenge and a defense mechanism. You enjoy the chase of getting someone who's hard to get. There is nothing wrong with that really. But on the flipside your apprehensive about getting close to someone, so once it becomes a possibility, you back off and play like you don't care anymore. This you need to work on. I don't know your history and anything so its hard to say why you may feel this way, but try and open up to someone after they've shown interest. When you really want someone, write down all the things you really like about them and keep that as a reminder of why you like them and read this often after you've entered into a relationship with them.

If you like him and he likes you what is the problem? Is it that one of you is already in a relationship? Please provide a few more details and perhaps we can give you some better solutions or advice.
Whatever the situation is though don't let it get you depressed. It's not worth that. Make sure you have someone you trust that you can confide in and share your feelings with them. Talking it out will make a world a difference and will sometimes provide you with options you didn't even know were available. So stay positive :)

A lot of people want what they can't have, 8A. But you should be able to return love and concern to someone who is willing to share it with you. So next time he likes you back, kiss him.
What you're actually in love with is the chase. Stop and let someone catch you. You'll be glad you did.

Your not messed up, its all about the chase with you. I totally understand, if you find a guy that is just gonna give in and make you everything you give up. Once you find that guy that gives you a challenge then it will all click.

no it is normal for a girl to want someone who isnt intrested because him not paying sattention to you is driving you nuts, i bet if he did strat wanting you then you would change your mind because he isnt ignoring you no more
