well if your single. get knocked up. far as i know they don't allow single women w/ kid's to serve if no one else can provide for the kids. playing the gay or acting gay will get you a dishonorable discharge. which means you can't even flip burgers. only other way would be medical. but don't know if your willing to throw your self in front of a bus or not. other medical would be. get medically committed to a sike ward or hospital and stay for 72 hrs and be declared unfit for duty. if you did that it would have a short term affect.

When you say "stressed out" do you mean you are having a real diagnosable anxiety problem? If so you may get out on a medical. Depending on how long you have been in, there is a possibility you could get out as "unfit for military service" or "failure to adapt to military service" but that would likely be a general discharge and no credit to you at all. I don't understand you people who join and then want out. The military is not a college class you can try out and drop if you don't like it. It is a very serious commitment. The oath you took where you swore your willingness to give your life in the defense of your country should it become necessary should have told you that.

Get out of it, yes. Get out of it without a BCD or dishonorable, no. By the way, at time of war, which we are in now, penalties go way up. I don't know what they are doing now a days but back in Desert Storm it was 3 years in prison for those who wanted out.
With the bad discharges, you cannot be employed at any company that has significant government contracts. You will not pass background checks. Pretty much, you will majorly cut down your employment choices in the future.
It is better to just finish out your contract.

To get out without dishonor, finish your contract, become disabled, or KIA.
I would ask you if the motives you had for joining were the same as those the Guard was requesting from you.
If you are a multiple tour SW Asia veteran, it may be a little different, but most of those that I know, would not think of trying to wiggle out of their hitch by some loophole.

You sound like Goldie Hawn in Pvt. Benjamin. You have some personal issues soldier that you need to get in check. The oath you took was a serious one. You wanted the check, then do the job.

Did you join thinking that you would not be called on? No way out unless you have a valid medical condition. The Military does have counseling available if you realy wnat it, if they deem you too stressed to serve then you may qualify for a General discharge under honorable conditions. Thanks for your service.

Yes, you can fullfill the obligation that you promised when you took your oath to uphold and defend the constitution from all enemies, foreign and domestic.
If you didn't want to fight for your country, why did you join.

If they want out then they should be dishonorly discharged. No way should they get the same benefits as the brave ones that defend America.
