Most volunteerism amounts to stuffing envelopes
which is not sufficiently engaging nor takes advantage of the vast expertise and acquired wisdom which goes to waste

One of the best places for seniors to volunteer their expertise online is http://www.nabuur.com ... This is a beautiful place where real contributions are made and people are connected to real causes. Look out for me there :) I really respect their initiative, supported by SEDA, the international development agency of the Swedish government.

There are volunteer websites out there that match up volunteer opportunities for people with various skill levels...do a Google search for volunteer opportunites!

there are many organizations that take seniors to help out with driving others to doctors, errends and they are working in hospitals and nursing homes. the va hospitals around the world have many senior volunteers. many do things for their churches, etc. i never knew one that was stuffing envelopes.
