SIMPLE: Turn off the cell phone AND stop using Yahoo! Answers, as you can see it is very addictive. OH AND stop running dogs over with your SUV, scary things like that can make people stay up late.
FYI: whatever you do don't use sleeping pills, they are too addictive. If anything I would use marijuana for helping go to sleep over sleeping pills any day.

I have the same problem - I'm night owl with a day job and boy does it suck. A few things I have tried that helps....take 2 Benadryl about 30 minutes before you lie down...Benadryl makes most people sleepy but is perfectly safe to use on a daily basis. Another thing I've used is Melatonin - in the vitamin/herbal aisle. Also safe and just makes you feel sleepy (melatonin is released by the brain naturally at night time).
I also try to spend the last hour before bedtime winding down by reading or something else that gets me sitting still for a while (and turn the computer off!). There's a lot of things you can try..."sleepy time" teas...warm (but not hot) baths...counting sheep...you name it.
good luck!

I have this same problem... I've tried sleeping pills... soothing teas... reading... working out... EVERYTHING... I don't smoke and I don't drink... so what to do to relax... try taking a really how shower then after your clean sit in the tub... yeah I know it sounds funny... but try it... turn off the light and sit by candle light and some soft music... If that doesn't work... maybe try a good workout something easy like a workout video then the shower/bath thing... if that doesn't work try a MILD sleep aid..most of the over the counter may work.. if none of that works E-mail me and I'll give you some more tips.... BUT try this first...

You need to slow your body down and prepare it for bed at the time you want to go to sleep for example 11 pm then it would be better if you eat your last meal a couple of hours before that, no caffeine, take a bath shower to relax, lower the lights turn down the lowd noises etc

Avoid T.V., computers, and caffeine after about 8:00 in the evening and read a book, take a walk, or listen to some music (something quiet and relaxing).

Don't exercise, drink, or smoke before you sleep. Make sure all the lights are off to ensure you get a good sleep. To help you sleep, drink of glass of warm milk and read a book.

Get enough exercise during the day - physical and mental. Limit caffeine use during the day, especially in the evening. See your doctor. Good luck! There's nothing better than a good night's sleep.

Drink warm milk..at night, I use white noise, the sound of rain to fall asleep....
If nothing else, since I am a pharmacy tech, try Tylenol PM...or see a doctor for either Ambien,Lunesta, or Sonata.

Thank God you are getting good sleep Don't worry about why it is at a different hour at this time you will learn that later. Just plan your days to be fruitful in the odd hours .
