That will depend on how big your file is, or movie, in this situation. You can get a program called VirtualDub, compresses avi files, or so movies.
If not that one, google -> Video Encoders

Go to my page and look in the square in the bottom and then download the software is something that is very helpfull and easy to use, I use it for my archos and it will let you shrink. I did not create it but some other programmers...

well, i have Movie Plus 4 video editing software and with this you can drag a video into the timeline and output it straight away to any avi, mpeg1+2 or wmv of your choice

dr divx has a very easy to use interface, thats not a full movie hour and a half is it,if so you trying to make a ipod movie
