if not intention, the US made a very stupid move.

i read, several months ago, from what i considered to be a reliable source, that the US military had bin laden cornered, then "subcontracted" the job of actually catching him to local tribesmen. the tribesmen escorted him out of the country.

OF COURSE. Osama Bin Laden is just a figment of Carl Rove's imagination as are all well known terrorist. Osama & George "W'' are working hand in hand. Wow is "W'' getting a lot of mileage out of Osama. Osama is a "Nobody'' just a propaganda tool by the Bush admin to keep the terror agenda going. Look at what's happened. After the :"Bushies'' fomented the 911 attack it gave them leverage to attack Afghanistan. Let's take a look at Afghanistan. No Bin Ladin, no real security in the country, Taliban on the rise, U.S. in full charge of the Poppy crops there now. On to Iraq Over 2,500 fine American soldiers lives gone & untold 10s of thousands of lives of the poor people of Iraq & untold numbers maimed & crippled, killing & raping of innocent families, torture, graft & corruption (billions disappeared into thin air, reconstruction projects only about 24% completed & more $$$$ needed to finish the reconstruction of Iraq while the People of the Gulf coast are still reeling from Hurricane Katrina another $68Billion was just appropriated to go to Iraq while only a little dab will do you for Louisiana, Alabama, Mississsippi. Haliburton is making out like a champ raking in billions on work it's not doing & supplies it isn't delivering. I think you get the picture. Osama is a hoax

Read "The Hunt For Bin Laden" by Robin Moore. It's the only book you'll find that actually has interviews with the troops who were in Afghanistan immeditely after 9-11.

I really doubt that. Although, i't possible with him being free, the USA government could track information if they are that smart. Bin Laden is a physically sick man anyway, and could drop dead any day.

of course, cant be the hero without a bad guy. if they get him theyll have to come up with a new boogie man & they nearly got caught last time. good thing we're the cattle theyve designed us to be. 'war on terror' is the perfect war; immenent danger, endless bad guys, fanaticism, stateless, faceless, nameless, anyone, anywhere, everyone, every where & only needs a bomb to go off every few months anywhere in the world to ensure perpetual war. war is the welfare of the state.

come on klay43701...i know your smarter than that...aren't you? my unit tracked him and others for about 5 months off and on through probably the most treacherous mountain ranges in the world and we came close a couple of times and although we have not caught him yet, we have managed to eliminate a large amount of terrorist and Taliban. believe me when i tell you this and this is all i can tell you (we do not send out special operation units in to the mountain to play political games. if and when he is caught it will be his choice as to stand trial or die....its as simple as that.

Now I have heard everything........ NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO !

But, I do think IF we know where he is we are useing him to find other cells by trackings his communications and movements. Kinda like letting a thief go so you can follow him back to his buddies.

I don't know but there is a twisted logic that would lead one to believe that letting him go would have been a good idea. They certainly hoped to monitor communications between th terrorist and if you want to get them all, patience can help you get the information you need to round them up.
