No. Its a violation of regulations. Its also an ethical and moral dilemma. By virtue of the fact that the recruiter is in a certain sense your sales person so to speak, its an inappropriate relationship that could get very messy very fast. Any recruiter and NCO who has any sense at all would not allow themselves to be caught in this type of situation. Nothing against you, However, its a relationship that could destroy his or her career.
If caught, he could face several types of punishment and lose everything he has worked for and compromise the integrity of the military recruiting forces in general not to mention the report and reputation of his specific branch.
Its a major moral and ethical no no!!

I think that "Alvin Sutton" who answered your question a few minutes ago gave you by far the most technical reason, very precise and 100 percent correct. But that's not the most important reason to not date your recruiter. The recruiter's job is to say and do anything to get you to sign the paper. My experience has shown that truth and honestly are not compatible with that job. You would be dating someone that misrepresents themselves for a living. If you want confirmation of this, ask another question, something like, Q:Were you ever in the military and did your recruiter lie to you. The result you get from that one should be really interesting.

Recruiters cannot date recruits or potential recruits. Its a violation of Ethics. Punishable under the Uniform Code of Military Justice.
Of course you could always date the recruiter and not join the military...

Its frowned upon in the military.. plus, depending on rank, its forbidden.. example : if the recruiter is an officer and the recruitee is a NCO, they are not allowed to date at all..
IN all honesty however, it woudlnt work anyway.. once your off to basic and training and shipped off to wherever, its not like your ever going to see that person again.

If you are then he is very stupid and if caught will be in BIG trouble!!! It is unethical for the recruiter to get involved in any way but professionally with a potential recruit. If you want to date him, don't attempt to enlist...

There were a couple cases last few years resulted in courts martial. Don't even think about it. Not to mention if you join you'll be leaving soon & won't be around to see the guy.

In no uncertain terms: NO! They are not. They cannot have a personal relationship with anyone in the delayed entry program or in initial entry training.

I don't think he/she is supposed to. It is kind of a rule. However it is a don't ask don't tell situation. He/she will get in more trouble than you because he/she is an officer.
