why do most christian churches teach that their religion is the only path to God and heaven? Is that not judging? With so many "judges" in the world, what do we need judgement day for? God should go on vacation.

Wow, what a dinamite question!!! I wonder what the pope would have to say about that? Most christian churches do not actually teach that their way is the only way. In reality, it is only churches that teach religion! Religion has specific rules that must be followed properly or you will go to he....well you know what I mean. Some examples are, catholic, morman, Jahova witness(spelling?). But there are many churches that encourage all to come together in order to praise and worship and learn. It's a wonderful thing! Why should we seperate from eachother and bicker when we are worshiping the same god?? Why is there so much prejudice? You know. My sister in law says that she imagines that God is tied to so many people and they are all pulling him in different directions and he is crying because they are fighting over him instead of coming together with him. Judging is something that everyone does. It is second nature. That's why we should be seeking God when we catch ourselves doing it. Nobody else should be judging you. That is not their business. Don't worry. That is what judgment day is for (well not entirely, but you get the picture!). For all those people that were too busy minding everyone elses business instead of their own. You know, I beleive that judgement day is for god to examine our relationship and faith in God. I doubt very much that he will look at the name of the organization that you worship god at. Judgment day is between you and god. Not between the pope, you and god!LOL!Well that's all I have to say on that subject. Great subject though!

well I'm a Christian and I'll try to answer your question the best I can. I do believe that accepting Jesus as your savior is the only way to get to heaven. The Bible does teach that we shouldn't judge each other, because we're all sinners so we can't judge others on something we've done ourselfs. God is perfect, so he can make perfect judgements. God judges everyone according to what they do. But he loves you and wants you to go to heaven. I don't know if you believe God exists, but He does. He has answered my prayers countless times, and I've seen Him perform miracles. God creating the world is the only thing that makes sense, evolution is just a stupid theory. Look into it yourself if you don't believe me.

There is a difference in judging the condition of a person's heart and judging a person's actions. The Bible tells us we should refuse to associate with certain types of people so they will be ashamed of their behaviors (so their behavior will be shown to them to be socially unacceptable) and they will change their ways.

We must make many judgments every day. If we didn't judge anyone about anything, we would hand over our credit card to just any stranger on the street, wouldn't we? I mean, after all, we shouldn't judge and suppose she might use it to charge something for herself and have us pay for it. Or we would leave our car keys in the car all the time, because who are we to judge the innocent person walking down the street at two a.m.? The Creator God who gave us Scripture and told us not to judge one another's hearts (motives) also gave us brains. We are supposed to think. We are supposed to choose our spouses and friends wisely. Influence matters. We are supposed to use good sense in protecting society, in protecting children, in protecting our own characters and in protecting our own and other people's property, etc.

It's hard to believe some people don't stop to think before they judge the Bible and people who try to practice it's principals, harshly. Oops, did I say 'judge?'

""why do most christian churches teach that their religion is the only path to God""== They do not. Just the 7th day Adventists do that.

Judging is deciding if someone is worthy of heaven or not. True Christians Do NOT Judge!

Because they believe they are. but christians are not supposed to judge anyone outside the church. Even the bible says that.
As for judging, Your soul will be judged when you die. You will go to heaven if you put your faith in Jesus alone to save you from God's wrath (not how good you've been) and you will go to hell if you reject him. Proof of this is found in Romans 6:23

Why does that person keep referring to you as a pimp? Judging is what Christians know most about. They're so good at it that I think "God" has already retired and said "screw it..these morons think they know everything I want, let them handle it."

There is no "judgment day." I think our lives handle what we do to ourselves and others. We are our own judgment day. Every time you're down on yourself for not doing something the way you should have done it - You're using judgment to prevent it from happening again in the future. If you are one who does not possess this capability, then your life will be effected by this while you're alive, not at some glowing gate outside a sky fairy's kingdom.

The admonition to "judge not" does not mean we should never make judgments. All of us do this multiple times every day. For example, you judge who you want your friends to be, who you will vote for, what is right and wrong... What this Biblical passage is referring to is to not judge hypocritically with a condemning spirit. When we do "judge" another, it should be with their best interest at heart. For example, instead of telling a person "you're going to Hell!", we ,might say to them, I am concerned that you don't know the Lord and your behavior is only hurting you. I fear you may go to hell if you were to die tonight. I would like to tell you how the Lord can change your life, would that be okay. The "judgment" in this context should always be the best interest of the other.

Okay, we aren't to judge other people because God is our judge, and only He can see a person's soul clearly enough to know if it is repentant or not.

Some people can follow the Ten Commmandment strictly, but if evil is in their heart, then they won't go to heaven. And we've all heard about the apparently nice young man who was murdering on the sly. Appearances can be misleading.

What God sees is truth. You can't bs God. That, my dear, is the "one way" people are talking about.

There's judging and then there's discernment. Judging implies a closed mind, a 'I'm right and you aren't' attitude....To discern something is to decide for yourself if something is true, honorable, or false. As Christians we have the right to discern, people, places, things....God doesn't want us to be idiots. He gave us brains. God also invites people to worship Him in a way that is comfortable for them. Religious people who try to shove God down someone's throat is not really caring/loving that person or iniviting them to know God better. As you explore your questions concerning God (and He does want you to ask questions) you will see that most religions have more in common, similarities, than differences. How you choose to celebrate or worship doesn't really matter....as long as you love God. Only God can judge a heart.
