what was your first word ever spoken as a baby/child?

obviously you won't remember, but your parents might have told you... mine I was told was "ball."

I'm told that my brother's first word was "mine" and my first word was "no" --- so, you can imagine the conversations that we used to have.

That being said, I'm guessing that my real first word was dad/da da or something like that. I believe it's the most common first word due both to repitition & ease of saying. (Ma/mom is much harder...especially before you have teeth)

Dada is usually a baby's first words even if there father is not around and that usually makes mamas soooo mad because they are the ones who do the nurturing.

I spent the first 7 months with my mom because my dad was gone...he was in the army and was away at Basic & AIT! You would think that my first word was mama/mommy, but my actual first word was "daddy"!! My dad loved it!!! And my mom still can't figure out why I didn't say mama/mommy first! I think it's kinda funny!!

My first word was "some". My mother would always ask me, "Do you want some more?" So I eventually just started pointing to random things, actually everything, and saying "some". LOL!

My first word was "more cookies mom" I was a lazy baby who refused to speak, so I just screamed. I was sitting in my highchair and I wanted more Cheerios, so I was screaming. My mother said "Use your words" so stopped screaming, looked right at her and said "More cookies Mom!"
