theres many: hamza yusuf, shaik humbel, imad bayun, zakir naik, fathi osman, dawud..... i can go on with million s, i thought of those in 5 seconds literally.

I can't think of their names offhand but it shouldn't be too hard to research. I don't have my books with me right now, I am on holiday.
I have read though, that they were well advanced of any European knowledge in medicine, mathematics ans science.
For example, they were aware of the concept of zero in mathematics, yet when the christian St Dennis the small developed the Gregorian calendar it started at 1. This caused all the confusion at the beginning of the millennium. This could be construed as ignorance because the church suppressed most prechristian knowledge
