I'm thinking about starting a daycare, but I'm not sure if I need a licence or not.

And if it is, anyone knows where I can get licensed?

I think in most states it is mandatory. You also need to have insurance on your home. I would NEVER leave my child at an unlicensed day care. Too many times I have heard on the news about a child having accidents and dying in ones that are not licensed. I know in Washington state it is illegal to run one without a license if you are watching more than 2 children.

I don't think it's mandatory because I've seen unlicensed home day cares on some website for day cares in Arizona. I'm sorry I can't remember the website, I got to it somehow doing a search while I was looking for day cares myself. Good luck, I'm sure if you are a good caregiver and have flexible hours and reasonable rates, you should do well. I know I'm always looking for someone responsible and reasonable to take my little girl.
