My daughter is getting married her colors are pink and chocolate. Does a black tux look good with a chocolate vest and tie?

Its a good rule of thumb not to mix black and brown in my opinion. However it has been done before, so it is really up to your daughter.

Bad combo! black and brown are both dark colors... even if the person's complexion is very light, it still won't make a difference. I would recommend a light vest color and tie (silver, goldish, white.. maybe pink, that would be my last choice) So, if the bride will be in brown and pink. I'd suggest a black tux, white vest and a nice silk pink tie or if you want to avoid white vest altogether... Black tux, silver vest (light gray) pink tie.
Black tux, white vest, white tie would be nice.
Black tux, silver vest, white tie.
Black tux, pink vest, white tie. Of course, you'll have to be aware of shirt, shoes colors as well. Good luck!

Best to go to rental store & a male friend to try the tux on to see what the colors will look like. What is wrong with balck vest or no vest? I like the pink but my son in laws wouls have hated wearing pink. The goal is to torture the men as little as neccessary. Most men hate weddings.

It sounds kind of washed out to me. Pink is still, even after three or four years, very trendy. You might be able to find a pink vest/tie combo. If not, stick with classic white. The brown and black looks dirty.

You can do it, the colors are in this year. However, if it is the dark brown that most people are doing with pink, it will be hard to distinguish between the colors in photos. If you want the brown, look for a pattern. That will help it show up best.

no but i would suggest a choc tux with a pink vest and hanky, choc bow tie or if a regular tie i would go with a choc and brown tie as for shoes brown or if you wanna go all the way pink shoes. Looking real GQ-ish.

black and brown is to dull. and pink isnt just for girls so..good luck

Personally, I don't think brown and black go together. How about pink vest and tie?

I don't personally care for the black/brown match, but it's a matter of opinion. Have someone try it on, and see what the bride and groom think, because truthfully, what they like is all that matters. Think about all of the truly horrendous bridesmaid's dresses we've all spent hundreds of dollars for that are now hanging in our closets... see my point?

If your daughter and her fiance like the combination of black and chocolate brown, then go for it!

Black and Brown look great together and are very IN this year. They are both classic colors and with the pink, I think your daughter's wedding will be fabulous!

You're saying that you're going to pick the groom's vest and tie because they're the bride's "colours"? How whipped IS this guy? I kinda feel sorry for him.

Here's a quick tip - ask the groom what would look good.
