Is he really upset, or is he playing? The squirt bottle in the face did not work for my cat for anything, he actually likes it. But its worth a try. If that does not work, try behavior modification techniques on her. Do not reinforce his behavior, try ignoring her.

Most of the time they are just trying to get your attention I would say your cat is jealous of others who take you away from him. Mine bit me when I was talking on the telephone when I was talking to other people.

Mine use to bite me all the time what I did was to get another kitty cat and then I never had a problem with that again.

So is your cat declawed? The books I have read about cats and biting that since they have no claws they tend to bite more often.

Flick his nose when he does it. It won't hurt him too much, he'll just know if he makes you hurt, he's gonna get a sting that doesn't feel good himself.

If you don't want to do that, the squirt bottle is also a fantastic idea. Both ideas worked for our cats, now they're sweet as can be.

And I really don't believe that if you masturbate the cats can smell it and get mad (one of the theories above). Whatever. So...if there's any reason for concern in that department, a little soap and water afterwards should do you fine, lol.

wow that is tough I think it could be 4 things what the vet told me

1. maybe something your wear smells bad to him or something
he does not like even body order maybe

2. dirty finger nails smell and most cats pick up on this
some are ok with it some are not

3. If you masterbate to get yourself off cats will know and they
do not like the smell and they will hiss spat and try to bit you
to leave them alone!

4. Maybe he got a taste of the out doors and other cats
around and he thinks that there is better things out there

but how you change this I do not know maybe time alone
My aunt in florida has two cats and one of the cats loves to be held and petted the other hisses and spats at me I tried everything he is a pretty pretty long haired cat but no luck

I went down with my parents on vacation and I was three feet from (Jake)-the cat and he hissed at me I was kinda set back but he was thinking about bitting me I think I just hissed back louder He took off like a shot in the other room but I have no idea what to do I hope you find an answer I hope you do not have to give him away or put down

my cat does the same thing. sometimes she's just playing. most cats play by biting, scratching, and kicking with their back legs when held. Your cat may, as I just told you,be playing. But if she/he is hissing and acting wild and dangerous, she may have rabies. OR. She may have something bothering her. My cat once had a shard of glass stuck in her paw, she wouldn't limp, she would just walk around in a bad mood. Another time, my dog ate a chicken bone she got out of our garbage can when we let him out. it got wedged in his teeth causing him to growl and snap at me. search your cat for any simple or minor injuries that can cause pain. just cause it's small doesnt mean it cant hurt. OR. If your cat was originally wild, or has wild cat blood in it's veins. It may just be acting out it's instincts it would rely on in the really on in the wild. Take it to the vets if nothing I said can help. It may be some internal pain thats causing her biting.

carry a squirt bottle full of water in it. Set it on stream and everytime the cat bites you or somthing else squirt it. It stopped my cat from biting, scratching the lounge and scratching the doors!!!

I would take him to the vet and get him checked out. Plus I would buy him lots of toys to help him stay active in a healthy way.
