Although born and raised in England, I have travelled all over the world and now live in the USA.
Despite having been in awe of the beauty of the West Indian islands (with the uninhabited Togabo Keys being the most spectacular), I have to say that my favorite place is a tiny little island in the Inner Hebrides of Scotland called IONA.
It is not a place that you come across by accident - you have to work to get there..... a train ride up to Oban, then a ferry to Mull, a bus ride across Mull and another ferry ride to Iona.
But the journey is well worth it. Iona has a beauty that I've seen nowhere else. The light is different there. It glows. The little houses hugging the shoreline as the ferry approaches just speak to me. Puffins bob on the waves, and the people on Iona are looking to find and bring peace to themselves and others. The days in the summer are so long that people play golf throughout the night, although golfing takes on a new challenge due to the grazing of animals that occurs on the golfcourse!
It's just a magical island - where many Scottish kings are buried, Macbeth being one of them. You can't help but feel a connection to the past on this wonderful little island.
BY the way, Iona is considered the Holy Island of Scotland and, although I'm not particularly religious, I certainly understand why it inspires and encourages spirituality.

New Zealand, hands down. If someone ever gave me an excuse to move there, I couldn't get there fast enough.
No picture does it justice, you have to see it for yourself. And because it is still primarily an agrarian society, life has a very relaxed pace there. Pretty much everything closes up by dark. And the night sky in the southern hemisphere is awesome!

truly Hawaii. it truly is warmth and tropical and my entire kin loves it. when we bypass on a visit to someplace we don't like then the subsequent holiday we bypass decrease back to Hawaii, because all of us understand we may be able to have an effective time. i tips the Mauna Lani motel in Kona. it truly is a 5 favourite individual motel it is proper. In Kona you could bypass para crusing, swim with dolphins and bypass on helicopter rides to the volcanoes and waterfalls. you should bypass.

Cancun, Mexico - That was the most thrilling place I've been to, & I went scuba diving there! I hadn't ever been outside the U.S. before, which added to the excitement. It was beautiful too!

My safari in South Africa has been my best trip so far. The game lodges are so nice and it's so cool to see lions and elephants up close and in the wild! South Africans are also very friendly and hospitable.
