To Rini, I don't know where you are in the world but I don't have the words to express the emotions your answer generated in me. Thank you for sharing what has to be the greatest tragedy a parent can experience. My heart goes out to you and I hope you are well, I know your child is in good hands. God Bless. -tequila7+

And I must share mine, the motivation for the question. My daughter who was diagnosed with bi-polar when she was 14, stood in front of an audience and shared her experience, strength and hope with others who suffer from mental illness. She was an inspiration, so proud of her.

I was in the grocery store with my 13 year old and he is going through that scruffy looking age, clothes too big, hair too long, but he was brought up right and has always been a good boy. Any way I was a bit behind him looking at stuff and this man in a motorized cart turned and raised his voice asking me "Is this your son?" I said yes and he went on to tell me how refreshing it was to see manners it a young person today! I said Thank You. Then when he was gone turned and asked my son what he had done? Turns out the man needed something on a high self and was struggling to get out of the cart and Jake offered to get it for him (there were alot of ppl around but they were just walking by) and asked was there anything else he needed.

my daughter who is 11 had a classmate that had a house fire and her mother was killed ... that day when my daughter found out about this tragedy she went to her room and packed a box of toys and clothes of her own ( some new mind you school had just started ) and gave them to this little girl .. with a card that said she was so sorry that she had lost her Mother and her house but she would be happy to share her Mother and her house with her if she ever needed a place to go ... That proved to me that I must have done something right raising her , to know that she was so warm and loving to another in need it touched my heart and I was extremely proud of her ...

We are expecting our 2nd child in February. Our 1st is a boy named Ben. He is almost 5. He wants a baby brother and I want a girl. The other day I asked him if he would be ok if it turned out to be a girl. He didn't answer. Later he was playing and then he goes "Mommy, do you think you will be ok if it's a boy?" I said I thought I would be ok. He goes, "Then I will be ok if it's a girl." That was a very proud moment!!

My daughter (2 1/2) always has spoken in sentences - Not " I do it" but "let me help you daddy" and "no, I don't want that I wan't something different" But the best is when any of them say they love me. I know the eight year old won't say it in public anymore so I take it whenever I can get it!

My daughter and I are fighting quite a bit. She is 16 and is proud and stubborn. She actually called me today from her friend's house and asked advice on how to deal with a difficult situation. She not only asked, but she listened. I'm very proud of her.

I also love to hear Mommy I love you. My proudest moment was when all three of my kids empty their piggy banks on mother's day to give me a day out with my mom. I have always taught them to save. They told me that this was something that they really wanted to do. We ended up at chucky cheese! I love my kids that was the best Mother's day of my life.
