Good question.
If a christian were to take a scientific approach to this issue, it would be determined that certainly adult dinos were too big. But, even if baby dinos like the brontosaurus were on board, what of their fate after the waters receded?
Most of the world was devastated by the flood. There would not have been enough vegetation to support the monstrous appetite of dinos like the largest ones that became extinct. And baby dinos grew very fast. There was probably just enough food to serve the animals that were on the ark. Remember, the ark landed on a high mountain and the horrendous amount of water could not have receded very rapidly. We now suspect it was slowly carried away to be deposited on the polar caps and much of it floats about in the form of clouds.
Also, the animals on the ark would have been in a state of hibernation. Not too hard to believe if you first believe that animals of all kinds entered the ark at God's bidding. Noah and his sons could not have coaxed lions, tigers, and elephants into the ark and cared for them for an entire year. They couldn' t have carried enough food for all those creatures for that length of time, and think of all the waste they would have generated. That ark would have become a floating cess pool if the animals were awake. I fear the biggest dinos met their fate by drowning and their bodies were carried all over the world by the ocean currents. There were some small ones that survived. Crocodiles and alligators are considered to be living members of the dinosaurs. Scientists consider several reptiles to be descendants of dinosaurs.
A side thought. Scientists tell us two huge meteorites struck the earth. One in the Mexican area and one in Siberia. There are huge craters and rocks that are very different from any on this planet at the sites. The debris from those collisions cast into the atmosphere would have created a huge dark cloud that covered the majority of the earth. That might have been the catalyst for the flood that followed. The bible suggests it never rained before the flood and that is why the people did not believe Noah. One bit of scientific evidence needn't cancel out all others.

Yes some he left but he probley took the younger dinos and by the way Noah didnt have to go hunt these animals down ,,It says in the Bible that the Lord brought them to Noah so what ever animals came, those he put in the ark. Also read job 40 and 41 and it discribes to you a dino. So they were hear long after the flood.ty.

No. Noah took dinos on the ark. The average size of a dino was roughly the size of a sheep. The biggest ones just got the most press. Young dinos would have been taken so they could best repopulate. There's plenty of evidence of the existence of dinos on earth after Noah. Notably, legends of dragons.

I think the Dino's missed the trip. And I am sure it was Gods choosing not mans decision. Also, I don't think that man can not reliably tell time. Meaning...what is 10,000 years old as opposed what is 100,000 years. So they could of been around during Noah's time.
Even now in our time we lose a species everyday. For a lot less a reason than not having enough room to houses them.

Not sure it was up to Noah. But it is possible that God let the dinosaurs become extinct because they would have overpowered human beings. Just a thought.

Welcome to , the web site of the Creation Evidence Museum in Glen Rose, Texas.
As you browse our pages you will receive educational information presenting scientific evidence for creation and design by a personal Creator. This scientifically chartered museum was established in July of 1984 for the purpose of research, excavation, and display of scientific evidence for creation. The Museum's team, led by its Founder and Director, Carl Baugh, Ph.D., has excavated eleven dinosaurs (Acrocanthosaurus, Stegosaurus, Allosaurus, etc.), 475 dinosaur tracks, 86 human footprints, 7 cat prints, and other fossil remains - all in Cretaceous limestone. Excavations were professionally documented along the Paluxy River and various other international locations.
Among museums this entity makes a unique contribution, demonstrating that man and dinosaur lived contemporaneously.Q: Are dinosaurs found in the Bible?
A: Yes
For a biblical study on dinosaurs in the Old Testament, I would definitely recommend using the Authorized Version (AV)/King James Version (KJV) of the Scriptures which were translated into English from the Masoretic text in 1611 [230 years before the word "dinosaur" was available!]. Using a Strong's Concordance, you will find the Hebrew word "tannin" is used 25 times, and is translated as 'dragon(s),''serpent(s),' 'monster(s)' [and, in the more modern versions, improperly as 'jackal(s)']. The key to remember is to look for Hebrew Lexicon #8577.
CREATION WEEK (~4000 B.C.)
DAY 5--[Gen.1:20-21]--Creation of marine monsters (Hebrew "tannin," includes large marine 'mammals' and 'reptiles') and winged/flying creatures (Hebrew "o(w)ph," includes all feathered and non-feathered flyers--even pterosaurs, the flying reptiles!)
DAY 6--[Gen.1:24-25]--Making of dinosaurs and other land creatures, divided among the cattle (Hebrew "behemah," includes all quadrupedal, hoofed/blunt-toed ungulates), beasts of the earth (bipedal/quadrupedal, talon-toed), and creeping things (quadrupedal/multi-legged ground crawlers).
FLOOD YEAR (~2350 B.C.)
[Gen.6:17,19-20; 7:14-15; 9:17,19]--Juvenile representatives of every terrestrial, air-breathing kind (not species), including dinosaurs and pterosaurs, were directed by God to the Ark.
Those outside the Ark would be left to be scavenged by marine predators or be buried and fossilized quickly.
POST-FLOOD PERIOD
MARINE MONSTERS--[Leviathan (Job 3:8-'mourning'; 41:1-34/Ps.74:14;104:26/ Isa.27:1); see also Lam.4:3 & Amos 9:3].
PTEROSAURS--[esp. the bioluminescent flying reptiles (Isa.14:29 & 30:6)].
DINOSAURS--[see Strong's Concordance(KJV) under "dragon(s);" also Exod. 7:9-10 (#8577, not #5175)].
The best dinosaur passage in the Bible is Job 40:15-24 where God speaks to Job concerning BEHEMOTH ["most excellent beasts"--intensive plural of
Day 6 'cattle' ("behemah")], a huge sauropod dinosaur (especially notice verses 17 &19 !!!). Don't forget to ckeck our website for dinosaur publications under "Resources" and...happy dinosaur hunting!

Then why would he allow elephants, rhinos, buffaloes, giraffes, and oxen on board?
Many dinosaurs were small in comparison to the animals I just mentioned.
