Where can I find root beer "cool-aid"?

Question

When I was growing up in South Texas, the local store had root beer flavored drink powder. Can you help me?

"Fla Vor Aid" still makes it. It is available for purchase directly from them at .11 cents per packet, with a 25 packet minimum.

Root Beer Kool Aide was made and available in the stores up until maybe around the early 1960s.I am guessing, because at 67yrs old, I don't remember things as clearly now days. I just remember that we used to get it all the time and my Mom would keep it made up, just for me (at that time period, I was the only child, til 1956 and my brother came along. Anyway, when we couldn't find Kool Aide Root Beer, we switched to Wyler's Brand and then IT stopped showing up on the shelves. I sure would like to know why that one flavor was discontinued?

I have never heard of root beer flavored drink powder/kool aid before, what part of south Texas because I live in Matamoros, Tamps. Mexico and I am in Brownsville, Tx(can't get anymore south than that) and I shop in HEB and Lopez and I have never seen anything like that before.

A company called " AUNT WICKS ' used to make it , but it seemed to disappear from supermarket shelves during the early-to-mid 90's. I was hoping another company would have purchased the recipe and started to manufacture it. But it never happened .

Kool aid discontinued making it, but there is a company, FLA VOR AID that does.
