i think i am sacrd that if i dont like this guy then i will have to break up with him but i dont want to hurt him cause i would still want to be friends its just a relationship was not right so i think im scard that it will be werid to talk after we break up.

Can't offer you any advice based on just knowing you're afraid of commitment without know what it is about commitment that scares you.

I have a friend who sounds alot like you. she too is afraid of commitment. we recently discovered that her fear is that she will never find another guy to compare to an ex fiance she chose to end an 8 year relationship with. she finds all fault in all the guys she dates. she wont comit because they will never be the same or treat her the same as this ex. any guy who cannot duplicate every aspect of her ex is said to be flawed therefore not worthy. My advise is that there are no 2 people exactly alike in this world. you make a mental list of what things you need from a partner. But the key is to be realistic, and be willing to make exceptions in the small things that can be overlooked by the bigger and better aspects of your future beloved. Good luck, hope you find peace and happiness for yourself. dont be afraid to take a chance on love.

Well, the best way to find out if your scared of commitment is to try to commit and see what happens with that. If you find yourself cheating and making excuses for your it then you are scared of commitment. you might want to have a little counsiling to see whats stopping you from being able to commit

why are you afraid of commitment? do you think if you get with someone you'll be missing out on something better? get to like yourself better then maybe you'll feel like you're ready to have someone good like you!

Hesitation towards committment is HEALTHY. Take your time (no matter how old you are), when the right one comes along you will know it.

don't worry about it.... things will work out better that way, becuase when you find out that your commited it dose not bother you as much..
