Atheists say to Christians what proof of is there of your God? And the Christians says you can't prove he doesn't exist. But Christians apply this same logic that the atheist does, the presumption of atheism, to all other Gods,

all other religous people could respond the same to the Christian, prove our God(s) don't exist, and since you can't . . . .

and round and round religious goes.

I wonder how many people are going to answer and tell me I need Jesus, to which I respond with the presumption of atheism, prove it please.

Any religion is known by its fruits. Islam's fruit is not what I'd call impressive. Wow, am I being nice tonight or what!!!

Is it fair when a Christan applies the presumption of atheism to Islam?

No. Even as a Christian, I would not apply presumption of atheism to Islam. I believe Islam is a religion with a belief in one God. If one believes in God or Allah or Jehovah or Yahweh, then how can they be atheist? Atheists do not believe in any God. But you do have a very valid point. Many people of ALL religions believe that THEIR religion is the ONLY religion.

As for the round and round about "prove this, disprove that" deal, these are people that are narrow-minded and only believe what they want to and refuse to open up their minds to other possibilities.

Do I think you are atheist? NO. If I did you would have gotten a lot different response to your question. I believe you have faith in one God. If YOU believe and have faith in that one God, then no matter what anyone says, they should never be able to shake your faith.

Regarding atheism? Try reading Ray Comfort. He is entertaining, and he just might make you think. Which I have - God gave me both free will, and a brain. Faith doesn't prevent me from using either.

As for saying other people's gods don't exist - I am a Christian. Not a particularly good one, or very orthodox in my beliefs, but I would never say that. It is actions, and not words, that count. If somebody acts kindly in the name of some other god, then he is doing it in my god's name also.

If a christian kills in the name of my god, he is acting falsely. Just as a muslim who kills in the name of Allah is acting falsely.

I won't tell you you need Jesus. Your beliefs are yours to decide. I will say you need hope - believing the worst of everybody and everything is a negative place to be.

I was once asked this by an atheist and I replyed that my proof was him. His existance proved God existed to me. His question made me declare the existance of God, which to me, is the reason for the question in the first place...

Does God only have one name? I don't know. Is allah the same as God? I don't know, I'll ask God when I get there....

as a christian, and not a very good one at that. I don't think that other religions are classified as atheism. In my opinion I think that really no body can prove anything. For all we know there maybe isn't a god , but each of us has our own beliefs, and helps us go on with our lives.

I'm a Christian! You have the right to believe, have faith, and practice any theology, god, or religion that you want! I don't believe that I will waste my time - in this life trying to convince someone of god for them!
God (Jesus Christ) is all powerful - if He wants you to know Him you will - no conflict. You see, I believe when Christians argue with others about God (Jesus Christ) - they are misrepresenting Him. The arguement goes around and around because they are trying to convince you about Jesus Christ - not the Spirit of Jesus Christ.
I've seen and been with Christians while they inadequately try to use human reasoning to explain a Spiritual or Soul experience in their lives. Sometimes they know I'm a Christian - sometimes they don't - they ask why I did not help!
I tell them - " individuals that act just like you use to come up to me trying to convince me of god - I didn't listen to them either.
Usually they are silly enough to suggest someone got to me.
I say - "No, I've always wanted to know the truth of God for me - I asked one time and I finally heard Him.
A relationship with God (Jesus Christ) is personal - this word does not adequately state what I have!
I believe that if God (Jesus Christ) wants you to know Him - you will. Until then, God (Jesus Christ) allows you to do what you want to do regarding god. If He is not worried about you - I definitely won't be wasting my time argueing with you.
It says in the Bible no one can or will come to God (Jesus Christ) unless prompted by the Holy Spirit.
Sweetie, I am not the Holy Spirit - so have a ball - I did! Until I heard something one day - it was so deep within me!
Guess what? When I come across those types of arguements between Christians and individuals of other faiths - I move away quickly - because I don't know which god on either side is going to show - but you are correct - it just goes on and on - is there some type of god for that type of confusion - tell you what - don't tell me God (Jesus Christ) - the Holy Spirit says - I don't need to know!
Find your truth my brother! Once you do - you won't need to argue!

i would guess that the proof of God would be used by anyone other than an atheist... christian, jew, or muslim. however, at this point, we must ask "which god?" so, among the limited number of theistic propositions, there must be some debate. however, does god exist would be usable by anyone who believes there is a god.

Never mind, you wouldn't believe me if I told you any way. There will allways be those who refuse to believe on Christ until they meet him in person and then it will be to late.
