Noah didn't have to do anything to get the animals to come aboard. And it was more than two of what God called clean beasts. Only two animals that he called unclean. If Noah had eaten any of the unclean animals there would be none to re-populate after the flood. read about the clean and un-clean in the bible. It still applys today. Isaiah says that those people eating swine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse will be consumed at the second coming of the Lord. Better watch what you eat. I know some of you want to do away with the old testament, and say after Jesus came he changed all that. But,He says I am the Lord. I change not.

People who take the flood story literally really don't think it through very well. Part of the problem is what you mentioned, getting two of EVERY animal on Earth to one location. How did kangaroos, koalas, platypuses, etc. get from Australia to the Middle East? How did bison, pronghorn antelope, raccoons, cougars, etc. get there from N. America? Where did Noah get all the food required to feed so many animals for more than a year? Some animals, such as koalas and pandas, have highly specialized diets. The Everglades kite eats only a particular type of snail. How did the snails get on the ark??

Another problem is with the ark, itself. It was huge, but nowhere near large enough to house thousands of animals, plus their food. And remember, Noah brought 7 of each "clean" beast (according to one of the two accounts). The ark was made entirely of wood, with no metal reinforcements. A boat that big, made according to the directions in Genesis, would have broken apart under its own weight! It could not have held up under the pressure of oceanic waves. It had only a row of tiny windows near the top. How would Noah & Co. have dealt with the methane from tons of animal feces? Light one oil lamp and FOOM! no more ark!

I could go on and on listing everything that's wrong with this story. Why there are so many Christians who believe that it ever could have happened, I don't know. They need to grow up and abandon these silly fables, the same way they abandoned belief in Santa and his elves.

Back in the day, the Known World was very small, so a flood of say a large valley or two would constitute "The entire earth" as known by the person writing the story. The Bible is stories, written by man, so that has to be taken into account when the stories are translated or applied to modern times.

Just as God put insticts into the animals he created, so to he put it into the animals to go to Noah. Two of every kind of animal was needed for repopulating the earth. Only two dogs, didn't matter the breed. Same with elephants, horses and so on. The genetics needed to produces every breed of dog was in every dog. Just as in Adam and Eve was the genetics to produce every race of man. So you can see, Noah had ample room for his cargo. With God all things are possible, just as his word says. Do not think of a boat shape with the ark, it was like a floating box which is a very stable shape on rough waters, and I'm sure the Ark of the Covenant was not boat shaped. It was a box. Gives more room in the corners also.

Well don't you think God could call the animals to the rendezvous point?

It appears you haven't read the actual account recently because there were more than 2 of some animals.

I reiterate here what I said a couple days ago. That all major ancient religions have some sort of a flood story. Also there is evidence in the fossil record of a massive die off of all species.

First, God summoned the Animals. And for all you Atheist, haven't you ever heard of Evolution? There was simply not the same number of species of animals roaming the Earth in the time of Genesis. Also, there have been fossils of sea creatures found in EVERY United States. It's very possible the earth was covered totally in water. As we speak, the eastern coast is literally falling into the Atlantic ocean. Heck, they even moved the light house in Cape Hatteras, NC back inland, because they are loosing land mass so quickly. Give me a break, you all are just blind because of lack of Faith, and bad parenting.

The Same God that told Noah to build the ark, caused the animals to load up on the ark when it was time to. And about that last line There is a God and He is the creator

since this story is included in the bible and the quran, it is a true story. first, way back in the day the land on earth was one giant piece of land. even scientists who have studied this claim that it indeed a fact. just look at a world atlas. it looks like pieces of a puzzle that can fit together. noah must have lived during that time. and not only that but god can do anything. he says 'be' and it is. so only god knows the true answer.

First of all the Bible teaches us that before the great flood it had never rained on the earth before, but the erthwas watered w/ a mist that came up from the ground. This sounds totally foriegn to us, but there are many things we dont understand, such as the dividing of the continents oan so on, but however it happened,
God sent the animals to him.

It's just a story that's supposed to be an alleghory for something, it's not meant for literal interpretation. Many folks get it mixed up. As a matter of fact, most of the Bible is fiction but is supposed to teach you how to live your life through what happens in those stories.
