All of us in this section of yahoo would take a moment later when we leave our computers and are all by ourselves and ask this question: God if you are real whoever you are,and whatever the truth is would you reveal it to me? And see what happpens. If you do this for real it would be nice to hear from you. You could post an answer and add your results later before this question closes. Thanks for participating I'm really interested in the results.

I have done this, what I get is the warm secure feeling that he is there, he does love me, and he does want me to know him. I suggest you try it too.

Some people have a natural tendency to sense the presence of God, whereas others must seek Him out.
I have seen many things happen that don't have an explanation in the natural world. Things that defy the laws of physics. They must have come from a source beyond the natural world.
That to me proves the existence of God.
But, understanding the truth about God and His plans for oneself can be a lifelong journey. I fear the average person could not deal with the WHOLE truth if it were revealed to them all at once. It would be overwhelming and may actually be harmful.
Sorry my dear friend, but I suspect you must begin now to learn what God has in store for you and be patient as He slowly unravels the puzzle that is life.

I think that is a good question to ask. I've been in a similar situation...crying, asking about life, all I can say is that.. mysteriously enough, when I can say to myself "I am living for something so big...so universal and so eternal" even if it defies common sense- I have never been so alive.
It can always sound cliche, but when i get right down to what i believe more deeply than anything else as a person...more than a moral code, even more than the fact that im sitting here in this room..in a down-to-earth way, God is there for me. He knows how to be there for me.

I have asked that over and over for the last several years, there comes a time in some peoples life when they are forced to realize that there is evil in the world, it is at that time when ones innocence is lost forever, such horrible things happen to them that the thought of hope becomes disgusting, even the will to live seems only for imbeciles, what kind of God would do this to me

If the President of the US sent you a letter and said "You're invited to the White House for Dinner on August 12, 2007." Would you start calling the aids at the White House and saying "Please ask the President to reveal himself to me if he's really the President?"

God HAS revealed Himself to be God, to everybody. He already created the universe and everything in it, gave the life of His only begotten, beloved Son, and gave us the Holy Scriptures and nature. What else in Heaven or Earth do you want Him to do!!

If a person has chosen not to accept what He has already revealed, why would He twist Himself into a pretzel to force you to believe? He's not like that. You are free to believe He has revealed Himself (in creation, in Jesus Christ, His Son; in the Holy Scriptures we call the Bible; and in nature) or free to ignore it and pretend He didn't do it.

(Fortunately for all humanity, though, Truth does not depend one tiny bit on its recipient's ability or willingness to believe in it.)

As for the second part of your 'question,' He revealed it to me when He changed my heart from being selfish and unkind to being kind and caring. It doesn't necessarily happen in the strike of lightening. It takes time. It's like a plant growing. The seed is planted then comes the seedling, the sprout, the blade, the stalk, then the full-grown ear of perfect corn.

If you expect answers to your prayers, you must pray with faith.
"God, if you are real..." is no way to pray to God. You just insulted Him.

James 1:6-8
6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

Matthew 12:39 - But he answered them, "An evil and adulterous generation seeks for a sign; but no sign shall be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.

Mark 16:17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover."

I've already done this in my life! I've gotten the correct answer for me! I have a personal relationship with God (Jesus Christ) - my Savior! I don't have a relationship with a church and other than baptism - I don't concern myself with religious practises.
I communicate to God (Jesus Christ) thru His Presence - the Holy Spirit - I pray, love to read the Bible - every time that I read it - I learn something new to me - not to God (Jesus Christ)!
It's true and states in the Bible - that God (Jesus Christ) speaks regarding every circumstance and situation that I will face and have faced in my life. Also, I write in my prayer journal - my feelings and prayers.
I never need anyone to suggest that I take a moment to speak with God (Jesus Christ) all moments are His and all moments are with Him - regardless of where I am or what I'm doing!
Asking God to reveal Himself to me - I'll never be able to adequately express that!

I did that over a year ago and he has answered me every day since I now this sound like the same old thing but you must really believe if you are just asking so you can be prepared you don't believe you are just trying to cover all the possibility's you must first give in to him for him to give in to you!

Dude, you purely made my evening. That became bang on! Oh, and that i tried it. Nada. possibly if I were conditioned from formative years to trust contained in the transcendence of Invisible pink Unicorns, coupled with ritualized cruelty designed to make me sense weak and risky, all wrapped up interior a fascist administration structure, i'd have received something right here. i wager I purely haven't got adequate "faith".

Maria, almost all of us have created so much artificial things that so many materialistic layers have been put in between us and the God.. So, the communication takes a beating.
