Well if you are going to be a participant, first I would ask if what I was fighting over was really worth it. People can get hurt or killed. try talking over your problems. Getting called chicken is better than going to jail.

You simply calm down and walk away. Calm is key. You think straight, your emotions aren't reeling up and down. Fighting solves very little, but I do understand that there is a time to fight. Just make sure you pick the right fight, the right time and the right reason. That's how you prepare. But I am not saying you should fight physically. But fighting for your rights or fighting to change things for the better, these are fights worth fighting.

If you actually have TIME to ask this question, accept answers, choose one, and implement it then you have time to get out of it. Fighting will not solve anything, take it from someone who has been in more fights than I can count. Everyone loses and someone always gets hurt.

Make a list of the possible positives and negatives that will come from the fight. If you can realistically come up with more positives, fight.
