Because anymore so many married women are having failed marriages, loosing thier children and ending up in prison because they dont want to stay home anymore. Is this a new era of female liberation?

I dont mean going out and getting a job. I mean going out and partying, getting drunk, doing drugs, comitting felonies and getting infected with HCV. No not all do this or go to jail but alot do turn their backs on their family. I have seen it happen too many times and then of course they regret it.

I think the jailed women are the minority. Women are not turning their backs on their families now any more than they did 50 years ago. I think it just has become more socially acceptiable and more talked about than in the recent past.

new era of selfishness.
Noone cares anymore the world revolves around fun fun fun. If people thought more about their family life and took it serious, less people would be sitting in prison. I was always taught that family is first and that a strong family works together and plays together. I am convinced that children whos mothers didnt give a crap what thier kids were doing will either loose their children to death or prison earlier than a parent who spends quality time with their children would. This is a selfish world, it will only get worse before it gets better. Its not female Liberation because men do it too.

Did you ever stop to think that maybe it is beause of the pressures o society on women now days! Not to mention the abusive spouses.
Actually, I think a lotof it has to do with the fact that everything is more public now days. My granny said one time, "You never used to hear about things like this on the news, it was always kept with in the family. It's not that it didn't happen just as much as it does now days. It just was not discussed in public, neither was child abuse."
No one talked about the mommy that went to stay at aunt Helens and never came home!
Besides hun, a failed marriage is not the fault of only the woman! It takes two to make a marriage and two to break a marriage!

Women haven't stayed home in many years. This crappy world we live in requires two incomes. Women get out and see things in the world and if they are living in insecure marriages, they will not settle for something less than they are worth. I don't agree that women should abandon their children, but I have seen men make better fathers than the children's mother. Just another sad state of affairs in the good ole USA.

Women don't turn their backs on their family, they are mistreated and have no support from their so called partners to share the responsibility of child caring. Their love and willing efforts are taken for granted far way too long, too much. They are soft-hearted and walked on! Men want to continue to manipulate them, control them, until they completely break them down into nothingness...and still demand respect? Whatever! Seems like some of them have waken up to getting it together, and making a better life for themselves and their children. Shame on those, who had a great woman, and shameless cruelty almost crippled them! And such grief is there shed on many of those who no longer have a voice...who have been killed for the sake of a so called loving man...I will speak for them!

I think one of the things that might be affecting today's families is that everyone is in such a rush anymore. In a rush to get through school, in a rush to get to work,...even in a rush to get married. I think what makes today's marriages so fragile is that people don't take the time to get to know each other well enough to realize whether or not they're truly compatible.

I dont think that most women that turn their backs do it willingly. Some failed marriages forces women to turn their backs on their children and families.

We are not all like this........ just remember.
Someone is beautiful and giving.
Someone is ugly and takes.
Someone is caring and thoughtful.
Someone is hateful and selfish.
Someone is too good to be real.
Someone is too bad to be fake.
Someone is so full of promise.
Someone is so full of bad choices.
Someone is so appreciated.
Someone is so disappointing.
Someone loves me.
Someone hates me.
Someone will know who they are.
Someone won't even read this.
Someone can make you smile.
Someone can make you frown.
Someone can always amaze you.
Someone can never amaze you.
Someone could never understand how much they mean to you.
Someone could care less what they mean to you.
Someone is loved.
Someone is forgiven.
Someone is growing.
Someone is shrinking.
That someone is you.
That someone is them.

to tell you the truth, I have never noticed this situation. I find that there are a lot of immature mothers that bit off more than they could chew, but I wouldn't say there are more or less! Just my opinion, though, maybe I am blind!
