Actually this is part of the Wiccan Rede.

True in love ye must ever be, lest thy love be false to thee.

Think about it, if a person is not true to their love , what will the one they love eventually do?

I have the full version of the Wiccan Rede if you are interested, just let me know. Blessed be!

Oh and by the way, when my body dies, my spirit will live on to be reborn again. Until that time, I look forward to dwelling in the presence of the Goddess and God in the Summerlands!

Firstly “Wicca” is not an ancient religion. In 1954 Gerald Gardner published Witchcraft today. Gardner who had been a long time student of religion and magick, believed that the information handed down in his coven’s book of Shadows to be inaccurate and incomplete. To fix this Gardner did a lot of research and rewrote rituals and chants. Some today see him as the founder of modern day Wicca. So, while it is based on older religions than Christianity it is a very modern invention.

The verses you asked about are part of “ The Rede of the Wiccae” sometimes referred to as the Wiccan Rede, was first published in Green Egg Magazine in 1975. Lady Gwen Thompson submitted the poem, having received it from her grandmother Adriana Porter. No one is sure how old the poem actually is, some think it was written in the 1930’s others believe perhaps later as the word Wicca was not used until the 1960’s . Regardless the Rede remains a central pillar of the Wiccan faith.

It's no importance to know who will rule; but it's the way that he or she rule, either wiccan or non-wiccan.
If a judgement is make upon true love itself, so does prejudice. Where true love have no need to be shown to other either if its true or not, but its in our heart's to shared upon each other.

You're no freak, Wicca is a very old religion, much older than Christianity. I know it follows a path of light and not darkness, so rock on little sister.

Part of the rede comes from Crowley's Liber Al Legis.
"Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law-love under will"

Are wiccans witches? I don't think witches will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. If you are a witch, wake up, please? Just trying to help. No offense.
