I cannot tell you how many women put questions up about this very subject daily on Yahoo!
Have confidence in yourself and know that a lousy 10 lbs. is not going to make anyone like you more or less.
To have a healthy body, you don't do crash diets that only screw up your body and then the weight comes right back on quickly. You eat right, exercise, drink lots of water and no sodas.
Appreciate and respect yourself, then others will too. Have a good time!

I don't mean to sound mean but "big events" usually are planned in advance why did you wait til you had only 2 weeks. I say atleast 30 mins of exercise a day and just make sure you're getting enough calories. Cause even if you work out if you're not getting enough calories your body won't burn the fat and your metabolism will slow. So eat well and often and work out cause tone looks better than skin and bones.

A healthy weightloss consists of 1-2 pounds a week. If you go on an extreme diet and lose more than that, it will be extremely unhealthy and majority just loss of water weight. The water weight will return as soon as you stop the diet.
Sorry, you should have started earlier...

10 pounds thats equal to approx 4.5 kilograms. power walking at least half an hour a day can make you lose 5 kgs a week. i wouldnt reccomend total non eating. it wouldnt be right. but............ my aunty used to be a model and she told me once that sometimes she would have to drop 5 kgs fast, so she would drink 2 litres of water a day, eat one apple a day and smoke 30 cigarettes a day, i think the cigarette thing dont make sense in the equation though!...there was also some "grapefruit diet" around when i was a teenager it was sposed to make you lose 5 kilograms in one week also, though i never stuck to it to really find out.

Drink only water and only veggies and fruit for those 2 weeks. Don't orange juice fast because that will set you up for over eating. Juice fasting actually makes you prone to getting sick and gaining wait.

The Rice diet by Duke University- I lost about 5-7 pounds a week and I am sure I would have lost more if I would have cut the cokes out!

No orange juice fast is not the best way to lose weight. Talk to a dietician and get a good diet that will help you lose weight.

10 pounds in two weeks is awfully fast- especially for one event. In fact, that's not really healthy, unless you are morbidly overweight.
But if that's what you want, make sure you're getting enough nutrition and fiber so you don't feel *too* hungry. And drink a lot of water.

NOt sure about 10 lbs.. but if you drink a lot of carbonated drinks.. cut them out of the diet completely. They are full of carbs and sugar. for every soda that you drink per day.. you will lose around 2 lbs per week.
