We chew our food to break it down mechanically and add salivary enzymes secreted in the mouth. (Amylase in saliva is used to break down CARBOHYDRATES) If the carbs ingested are not completely broken down in the chewing, we have bacteria in our intestines that futher digest the carbs and as a byproduct produces gas. This approx. 2 liters/day of gas builds up in our intestines and can be expelled through the anus by relaxing the sphinter as pressure builds up.

Farts come from air that is taken in to your digestive system while eating or drinking. As the air passes through your stomach, small intestine and then colon, it picks up the fumes from the excess waste of the food you have eaten. Gas can also be built up from the chemistry of different food compounds combining in your gut.
On a side note, I have noticed that when I practiced eating only vegetarian foods, that I had less gas and when I did fart, it was not as potent and smelly as it was when I consumed meat.

It's trapped gas formed from something in the foods and drinks you take in mixed in with the air you breathe...if I was in the mood I would google it and find out the proper word, but you can do that part just as easily as I can. The more gas-producing the foods you eat the more you will fart. NOT that I do this....I NEVER fart! haha no really, just ask my husband...

flatulence is the correct term. fart is a youngsters term because they like the sound of the word i guess.

anyway flatus (act of passing gas - farting) is a normal occurence. however making fart noises is generally avoidable and rude. gas forms in the intestine from various issues, lets just say for most issues its from foods. once the gas has been created in the bowel it leaves via the anal sphincter (asshole for you teenagers and adolescents). at the sphincter one can relax the muscles and let the gas pass quietly or they can force the noise by tightening the muscles and forcing the gas out. think of a ballon filled with air. if you let the air out while keeping the vent tight the escape of air will squeal. if you let the air vent stay wide open and control the flow of gas out there will be little to no noise. same with the anal sphincter._

The cells in your body slowly break down the food you eat. But while they are breaking the food down some gas is released (think of it as photosynthesis, CO2 in and O2 out)

The gas builds up in your (not sure, maybe intestines or bowels) and you feel the pressure, and at one point you release, it makes a sound cuz a lot of gas is released from a small hole, like a balloon all blown up and let go makes a fart like sound also

Farts are methane gas that is a byproduct of the digestion process. The same gas is released by rotting vegetation and used to be (maybe still is) the main cause of explosions in a coal mine.

your body has to release the air out of your digestive system in order to compress the foods to be exited from your body, they sometimes smell and sometimes didn't ..that depends on the closer you get to releasing your feces.
