Because Satan has many ways to blind people to the Truth. He doesn't want to go to Hell alone, you know.

Well where do I begin. If you had any common sense and some education you would know that many religions believe in a Heaven and Hell. To get real specific, the belief in a Heaven implies belief in an after-life--a belief that other religions share even if its called Paradise, or something else. To answer your question there are so many different religions because there are many paths to God. On a final note, go get educated!!

Well, there are two concept parts of this stuff. One is the spritual side which focuses on existence of GOD and its relationship with rest of the entities in this universe. Second are the practices and belief systems that different human races have created based on their maturity, experience and evolution that are centered around first concept as mentioned above. The way I see it, GOD itself can't be different for different human beings and entire magical set up and rules governing either its heaven system or hell system or what ever can't be different for different races or religions. However what varies across the globe are the practices of religion that were created. It is like if an expression of love is GOD, there are so many languages in which you can say I love you. So meaning of I love you doesn't change but languages changes depending on local evolution of a particular race. And as long as there will be diversity in human being, there always will be options to follow various paths or belief systems. Most of the religions have similar teachings and hence a person who is truly focused on GOD should not bother why so many religion. This is drama of MAYA or illusion of this world created to confuse and misguide those who are trapped into worldly perceptions of things around. If you are not disoriented with it, then you can follow any religion, follow basic principles of spritual evolution and you can reach GOD. At the end of the day, it doesn;t matter what others say or think of believe. What matter is what you believe. Focus on it and you will get to right answer.

The reason for so many religions on the earth is the fact that we need to experience/do everything in our lifetime. People are sometimes lacking what they truly want, as like in tired of the same repertoire, feeling as if they have milked all that needs to be known. As an example, one day someone is a Pentecostal filled with the spirit, the next day they might be a Buddhist extinguishing the ego. All paths can be true. As JP-2 has said, all religions have some grasping of the Truth.

The Bible was written in such a manner that it aids all levels of intelligence to match free will. People fight over which is the right religion because at the level of understanding. God will only judge you for what you understand and what is in your heart. God will not judge an entire religion but each heart set before him. Just because you call yourself a baptist or christian or whatever does not give you a go to heaven free card. there are good and bad in every religion and lifestyle so to say why do Christians or Atheist etc... is wrong to assume just an entire faith is right or wrong based on a label.

No, the majority of religions past and present do not believe in the otherworldly places called heaven and hell. They have other places or ideas of what happens after death. The only ones that I know of that believe in heaven and/or hell are Judaism, Christianity (including Catholicism), and Islam. All of the other religions worldwide do not include these things in their tenets.

Any two points [hell &heaven for example] can be approached via many directions . Experience of each direction is not same .Some think this way is easy some think other way is easy. Each religion is a way of living ; hence so many different religions .

Dear:H GOD SAID, I AM THE TRUTH AND THE REST ARE LIES. 1Tm:1:3: As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine,
1Tm:1:4: Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do.
1Tm:1:5: Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:
1Tm:1:6: From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;
1Tm:1:7: Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.

I believe that "MAN" (and the devil) is the reason why there are so many different religions. In the Bible it is said that Jesus came in this world to show us God and how to live by His Word. Matthew 28 : 18-20 says : "And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying : All power is given to me in heaven and in earth. Go therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you, and I am with you always, even unto the end of the world".
This shows us that when Jesus was here in this world He gave us a simple thing to do: Know God and follow His word, and teach others by the way we live how to please God. But "MAN" (with the devil's influence) wanted things to go their way. They started changing things around, adding and taking away parts of the Bible. They have many different followers which form the different religions.
Now, how do we know which religions are true or not? Only the Holy Spirit and God can help us make the difference. John 14 : 26 says : "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you".

Be cause we all have different values in life. We talk of human rights and equality and democracy and secularism, but in the 6 billion people of this world only a small fraction know the meaning of the above words.
So when our morals are different and our beliefs illogical, we have different religions.
