If someone found God at 7 years of age, would they have had no morals whatsoever until that point? Are morals only taught? Can morals be found inside of a person? Maybe an atheist hasn't found God yet or may never, but do Christians think God hasn't found the atheists?
I know many loving atheists. I'm a Christian. Spirituality has its own principals, though not from a defined Higher Power of a religious sect, but God help us all (pun intended) if we're all 100% evil until taught otherwise. That type of thinking sounds more like brainwashing than learning of one's teachings. I believe in Satin, but that doesn't make me morally corrupt to the Religious Right.

hey,
well im an aetheist and i am surely not hateful or resentful. I am very open minded and will talk to anyone. I dont care what your religion is because i dont care about religion but that shouldn't mean you should be judged. of course i have morals to live by, not christian ones but everyone has morals come on now ; ). Just cause your aethiest doesn't mean you hate everyone/everything, well i guess some christians think that but only cause they are stereotypical and are pretty overzealous with religion, but once again, yes i do have morals.

Do you nees a dictionary?
There is dictionary.com...sorry didnt mean to be curt.
Atheist means "without god(s)" or in more general terms a person who is an atheist generally believes along the lines of Aristotle IE this is the real world and there is no other reality beyond what is right infront of you. In the case of most atheists I have known they believe that morality is a product of society and of ones individual character. They don't believe, as the Puritans did that it takes an angry god to keep people afraid of doing wrong or to keep them doing whats right.

Yes. People can have morals without believing in a god or higher power. Having morals just means knowing right from wrong and acting appropriately.

It's a logical fallacy to say all atheists are "immoral" or are bad people because they do not believe in God. Conversely, it is a logical fallacy to assert that all Christians are moral because they believe in God.
That is a form of a fallacy known as an Appeals to Authority (or argumentum ad verecundiam, for you brainiacs out there). It's like saying "the Bible says X so therefore X must be the right thing."

Atheists and agnostics (I am the latter) can have "morals". For example, I hate to see other human beings suffer and try to help alleviate suffering when I can. I do so not to avoid Hell or gain access to Heaven; I do so because I feel a connection to the downtrodden and genuinely want to help them.
In my opinion that is either equal to or greater than a morality that is driven by the selfish imperative of avoiding hell / reaching heaven.

Atheist do live moralistically.
Atheists live on the principle of humanity.
They don't have morals for the sake of being saintly.
They are good people because they are in nature kind.
Atheists don't act good or nice because a book or person tell them that is they way to live... they are good and nice because the genuinely nice people

most actually do I think, more than Christians.
Nobody to get sins absolved by, they just have to live with them.
Could be hell on Earth even if you have just a few minor unresolved sins.
I am one of the most moral people I know. I haven't intentionally hurt anyone in any way for the past 35 yers or so. I'm 42

I'm agnostic, which to me means that the subject of religion is usually so screwed up that it should not be discussed in public.
but the real question is do religious people have morals?
my observation is that those who claim belief in god are the first to commit atrocities against humanity.
not important which religion, christian, islam, bhudda whatever-- they all take upon themselves the right to kill those who disagree with them
so do religious people have morals? - NO!
