Yes. Most skin products contain alcohol. But using pure rubbing alcohol alone can cause major pain. If I were you, I would use an astringent or deep pore cleanser such as Noxzema, Neutrogena, Clearasil, etc. I've found the best are the ones that contain Salicylic acid (same thing that is in aspirin). You may also want to consult a dermatologist. from Jill, R.N.

Isopropyl alcohol is a relatively safe solution. You can do most anything with it, provided you don't drink it or try to breathe it. However, the goal in using it on acne is to cause the acne to dry up and go away. I've seen kids try it, but I've never seen it work. It only makes it ugly and crusty looking.

It's probably safe to place on a cotton ball and use sparingly. However for acne, witch hazel may be a better treatment. Use the same way, and will sting less.

yeah its safe, but it will dry out your skin really badly, which will make your glands produce more oil to replace the oils you dried out and then you will get more acne cause your body will make to much. so as soon as you stop using the rubbing alcohol you will break out like crazy. use apricot scrub or the olay daily facials are really great...and a moisturizer with spf is always good...keep you from getting wrinkles. and make sure you dont use any oil based products. cause that can clog pores

It's safe to use, wiping it on with a cloth, but it will really dry out your complexion alot. It will help decrease the oil on your face, which will reduce the production of acne.

You could, but it would sting like all get out and possibly leave scars. Try something more soothing like witch hazel. It's also available in drugstores near skin care items and doesn't cost much. Apply it using cotton balls.

That will really dry out your skin. I'd go with a mild cleanser that has salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide in it. They dry as well, but not as bad as straight rubbing alcohol.

If my face is really oily I will use it to dry up oil with a cotton ball. It won't take acne away though. It kills germs.

Just put some on a pad or a folded piece of kleenex and lightly wipe it over your skin..You shouldn't use it too often because it's really drying to your skin.
