I like your question and I would like to know the same thing. Fundamentalists who say they are about doing what Jesus taught and believed in well I don't think Jesus support killing people for any reason if I am to believe all the stuff he did in the Bible. So to me those fundamentalist Christians who are equal to Muslim extremists don't know the true meaning if religion and trying to live as God wants us to.

You are so full of beans! Jesus called people to *repentance*. He never told anyone they would be forgiven if they continued in sin. From your own very extensive Bible reading, do you remember Luke 5:30-32, where Jesus was eating with the tax collectors and sinners?
And their scribes and the Pharisees complained against His disciples, saying, “Why do You eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?” Jesus answered and said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.”
Repentance is an absolute requisite to forgiveness! Jesus made this extremely clear. How is God supposed to forgive someone who isn't sorry, doesn't see his or her own need for forgiveness, and doesn't intend to stop sinning? In forgiving the adulteress, Jesus said, "Go, and sin no more." He also denounced those cities where He performed most of His miracles, because although they had seen the power of God, they refused to repent. They thought, like you, that He had come to condone sin; that they had simply gotten away with it all. "I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish." - Luke 13:3

Yes, he did tell them to go and sin no more, but he did comfort and defend these people...he did not mock them, be violent towards them, or make them feel less than themselves. He lifted them up, which is more than I can say for some of the Christians that I meet these days, and I am a Christian. I see more judgement and mockery than love, guidance and understanding. That is my personal experience and I don't speak for everyone. I completely understand what was being stated and agree that a kinder eye needs to be used when looking at those in need.

Jesus would say "neither do I condemn thee, now go and sin no more lest something worse befall thee!"
John 8:11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.
John 5:14 Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.
You see, Jesus came full of grace AND truth. On the one hand you have the harsh "fundies" as some call them who lack grace, and on the other hand you have the loose liberals who lack truth.

Seem to forget the part where he forgives them of their sin and tells them to go and sin no more, he never did accept thier sin, but wanted to be free of the sin and lead better lives.
So yes, he would touch and cure the homosexual maybe, or like the leapers he would have them wash thierself in the river to cure them and then tell them to go and sin no more.
( guess they don't want that do they, they want Christ to accept thier sin, but he would not.
And yes he would most likely go into the abortion clinic and drive the doctors out ( sorta like the temple thing, since they are violating the temple of the body
and he did nto fight for human rights, but the bible shows and tells us to be happy where we are in life, the slave was to be a good slave if he happened to be a slave.
And he also told us not to drink in excess, so he may have a glass of wine with them, but also rebuke them for drinking to much.
You have a really wrong idea of christ ( but you know that don't you really) and merley take a few selected verses to try and prove a point to those that don't really know Gods word.
You should truely be ashamed of yourself.

Jesus also told Mary Mag. TO GO AND SIN NO MORE. He would tell others involved "in other sins" to do the same. Go and sin NO MORE. Jesus loves everyone, but does not accept your sins.

Exactly. He also worked to bring down a corrupt established heirarchy while the current crop of 'christians' support it. He was socialist rather than conservative

Why don't you use that big squishy thing in your head a little more? If they're really wrong, then, obviously, it's because they are MISTAKEN. Why do you make mistakes? Because you didn't know you were doing wrong.
