I'm a sbf and he's a swm. I've never seen him bring home a woman (or male for that matter, so I dont think he's gay). Don't know if he dates outside his race or not. Suggestions?

Well... you could always stop by with a couple of dishes of chocolate/vanilla swirl ice cream... but that would be a little too overt (and would be playing the race card WAY too hard).

The important thing to remember here is that he is a man... not that he's a "white" man. Generally speaking, most men like similar things... here are some suggestions from my gf (the white chick sitting next to me)

*** Give him a plate of cookies, preferably hot from your oven (oh, stop it you perverts, I'm serious), on a paper plate. On the bottom of the plate write "Let's go out sometime" or "I made dessert, so now you can take me to dinner". My mom always said the way to a man's heart is through his stomach.

*** Send him a note via Carrier Pigeon (I never said my gf was normal)

*** If you seen him wearing a shirt advertising a certain team, get tickets to a game (not necessarily of that team, but that would help)... and invite him along... most guys love sporting events... especially when they don't have to pay to get in. (note: be sure to say that you have an extra ticket, so he isn't under the impression that he gets both tickets... )

None of the people who answered were very unique to me. I say a unique way would be to leave something at his door or on the stairs. Like a note. Do you know his name? If not, find out and write his name on the note at the top in bigger letters so other people know it is for him. Leave it like when he is coming home from work. If you know anything about him like something he likes or that you think he might like leave it beside the note.

You should probably talk to him first, if you haven't already. You have the same issues because you live in the same area, so it shouldn't be hard making conversation. After you know him, maybe leave a note on his door asking him out to dinner.

Be friendly with him and then ask him when it seems right.
