I'm agreeing with Chuck that Jesus Christ Superstar is a superior musical.

The only thing that I'd be concerned about as a faculty member assigned to a production of Godspell is that the audience is made aware ahead of time that the musical is a 60's rendition of the last days of Jesus and includes depictions that some might find offensive.

Liberals might be pissed about a public school producing a musical with a religious theme, but there's more than a few religious folks out there who'd walk out of the theater if they see Jesus being crucified on a chain-link fence.

At a public school you could have a problem. They are extremely anti Christ(ian) and may even threaten expulsion or go to court to stop it. Its risky.
It would be great at a Christian school.
I love the song Day By Day.
Good luck!

Definitely. The only thing you might be concerned about it the religious content - if it's a public school, they might not want to do a show that has anything to do with J.C.

Why not? Tell the liberals to get out of the way.
