I agree with the Internet monitoring ! Forget the ones who probably don't have kids or Adults that are on kid sights themselves ! Tell your daughter ( a boy a girl emailed back & forth for sometime , they agree to meet at a mall , she took her friend to be safe ! But he had sent pictures of him ? and a guy his dad because they were the only ones that live together , anyway ; at the mall a man came up to her and said wow I'm late because $%^& had car troblem and he's waiting for a tow but was so worried about you , come with me , I'll call him with cell phone to see where he is and we'll meet with him , by the way I'm his dad , sorry I get so worried about you kids ! ) Her friend said no , but couldn't stop the girl .She hasn't been found yet ! I know her mom ! Let your kids see this It happens to boys and girls and Adults too !

Supervision is key no matter what anyone says. My 14 yr old was allowed to play on the net and it is always in my view and I have always told him never give out info. And one day he did. I caught it in time but you never know. He was on a kid sight but hey weirdo are in there too.

Do whatever you feel you need to do to keep you daughter safe. Have you ever watched 'To Catch a Predator'? It is scary what kids are revealing of themselves on the net for these sickos to see. I'll feel safe letting my daughter talk to yours anytime with supervision like that.

I fill the same way I watch everything my son does and let me tell you if you don't something will happen and then they will ask you later why weren't there to watch me or help me, You don't know people these days they will tell you something just to get you where they want you and then your kids will wind up raped,beat ten or even dead.

I feel sorry for your daughter. You need to give her some space. Parents should only monitor their kids online if they feel suspicious about something. Give your kid some privacy and learn to trust her judgement on what is safe and what isn't. Sheesh!
