Bunratty and Turley Mead are 2 that I have tried. They are both drinkable if you like a sweeter type of wine, yes, wine. They can/should be found in the dessert wine section of a decent liquor store.

Mead is honey wine. As a result, it usually tastes nothing like beer. I've had no luck finding anything paletable commercially; it is usually really syrupy sweet. Instead, I have several friends who brew, and I just enjoy theirs. If you're over the legal drinking age wherever you are, I suggest that you try making some. Check the net for recipes. The longer you let the yeast work, the dryer (less sweet) the result. There's also something called methylglen which is made from a combination of honey and fruit juice. Sometimes spices are added, too.

Mead tastes nothing like beer. The closest thing would be a sweet reisling - but it's still very very different.

In the NW, we have Sky River mead, among others. It's available in several sweetnesses - dry, semi-sweet, and sweet.

If it's not available at your local store, see if they can get a bottle or two for you. It's not that pricey and it's worth it for the experience. : )
